  2. Congratulations! My surgery is on the 16th! (I sound like a broken record :blush2:, I am so darned obsessed with this website!) Anywhoo, welcome! Read away. Tons of great information! As good and experienced as my surgeon and his team are, there is no way they have time to teach us everything I have learned here. Come visit us on the November Sleevers forum. http://www.verticals...__fromsearch__1
  3. My surgery is on the 16th! I am very excited. I had some butterflies in my stomach the last two weeks but now that most of the things I had to do, are done, I am pretty calm. I hope to stay that way.....but who knows. I suggest read, read, read on this website. It is wonderful. I feel as prepared as one can get thanks to this website and the wonderful posters. Having said all that, being nervous is very normal! :smile1: Best wishes! Please come say hi at the forum for November Sleevers! You will be a "Banana Babe"!!! http://www.verticalsleevetalk.com/topic/26418-banana-babes/page__hl__%2Bbanana+%2Bbabes__fromsearch__1

    Allergy Medicine

Have you called your primary doctor and see what he/she suggests? Perhaps she can recommend a different medication or call your surgeon or anesthesiologist. Also, was it your surgeon that told you they stick to their recommendations or the person that answered the phone? I wonder if they talked to him/her or just repeated what they always say to patients. I have allergies and there is no way I can stop taking them for a month. I haven't been told to stop taking them and my surgeries is in 10 days. I take zyrtec & a nasal spray daily. The post nasal drip alone will make you miserable after surgery. I can't imagine the sneezing and coughing! :whatchutalkingabout As a matter of fact, one of my questions on my pre-op appointment this coming Thursday is what should I do the night before surgery in regards to the Zyrtec I take at bedtime because I don't want to miss 1 dose. I have been taking a monthly injection for years for a type of arthritis I have and my last primary doctor told me to skip a month and I was in SO MUCH PAIN I could barely get dressed to go to my breast reduction surgery (6 years ago). I was very close to not making it to the hospital! The anesthesiologist then told me that it wasn't necessary! ARGH! So this time around I went to my rheumatologist and he told me to skip a month but to call him immediately if I have pain so he can suggest something different. In the meantime you might want to use a Neti pot once or twice a day. I will. (I'm not a doctor though.) Best wishes!
  5. @MeginNola-Do you get the slimies with eggs even if it is a bite? (just curious.-My surgery date is close) @ Becca-Same to you. Is the portion of hamburger meat irrelevant?
  6. Great responses! Thank you. I am very glad to hear I will be feeling "normal" or really close to it. Oh..and thinner! :whoo:
  7. Thank you Lissa!!!! I am very excited. :smile1:

@Scotiff- Welcome! My surgery is one day after you! You will be able to play with your 1st grandchild for many years to come. How great is that? @Michell- Tomorrow! Woohoo! I am ready to have it done too! Come back as soon as you can. We would love to hear from you. Best wishes! :cheer2:
  9. If you don't get answers you might want to search for surgeons of excellence in her area. http://www.surgicalr...g/locate/asmbs/ Actually I will re-phrase that. I would first search for surgeons of excellence and THEN ask others their opinion about them.
  10. Hi there! Welcome! We have similar stats and my surgery is on the 16th! I am excited. Are you? My only advice is to read, read & read some more on this website! I have learned SO much! P.S. I noticed you also posted on the forum for November sleevers. I will answer you there as well. Come often!
  11. Thanks for this. It reminds me to also take my neti pot, just in case. Actually, I will start using it today to hopefully have it under control.

What a wonderful experience Sandy! You will lose in no time! I love your attitude. Where did you have surgery?
  14. Great story! You look wonderful with your little black dress. Believe it or not, I think you carried your weight very nicely on your wedding day. Of course, you are probably healthier and a whole lot happier now. Congratulations and thanks for stopping by. Very inspirational.

Nov 16th is my new birthday!!

Try GNC. They will let you return opened containers if you don't like it. Also, for a "juicy" taste (as opposed to milky) try the Isopure bottles. They sell them there as well. Don't buy too much though, since I have read here that our taste buds change.

Breast Reduction and Lift Before Sleeve

I get the impression the original poster has already had a breast reduction and is wondering if she will lose the small breasts she now has. Hopefully she comes back to clarify. I got tired of waiting 20 plus years to be thin and got a breast reduction 6 years ago. Best decision I ever made. I think I will end up with saggy, SMALL deflated breasts and I am ok with that! :biggrin2: I can't imagine walking the halls after VSG with huge breasts that used to reach my waist! :nono: I hope someone tells us HOW small they will get. LOL
