What's the scoop on eating and drinking

My Dr. said if you drink right away you flush the food out and lose the nutrients nescessary to keep you healthy. Plus I just don't want to risk that nor the chance for hair loss. My challenge is eating a bite every 2 minutes and then being done in 45. I can't do it yet but will keep trying.

    Banded this morning Sept. 1

HI Cathy, I am wondering if you can tell me where I can locate and download the weight ticker. Also, and I know it's been a while now, but how do you eat one tiny bite every 2mins. and get enough food in 45 mins. Thank you for any help. Thank you too for having me as one of your lap buddies!
  7. I was banded this morning and back to day surgery room by 10am. Sipping water very slowly. Gas is very minimal and dissapates when I walk/move my arms. Do need the pain meds at times and they really help. No food until noon tomorrow. Probably greek yogurt as pureered eggs just does not sit will with me. Maybe that will change. Still pretty weak. Walked through grocery story with hubby and was a bit too much. First step over.

    September Bandsters

My surgery is September 1. I have started the low carb hi protein diet as well. I too am excited and a little scared. surgery complications are a bit scary, gas they use to inflate your stomach a bit scary but most of all that I don't fail. I have read so many positive results but the the ones that struggle make me nervous.
  9. 5 days to go. Feeling hopful and a little scared.

Getting back to work after banding

Thank you to everyone who responed to my getting back to work question. I really appreciated the sound advice based on your own experience. The next question will have to do with the food part while at work. How do you manage the 2nd week's restrictions while at work?
  11. Hi Dert, Just reviewing your profile as i get ready to have llap banding. YOu look beautiful and you clearly were successful. It gives me much hope!

  12. Hello. I am seeing my surgeon on Monday and hope to schedule the banding with in four weeks. I am private pay so not tied to insurance processes. I have very little PTO (paid time off) so I really can't afford to be off from work very long--maybe 10 days. Plus I don't want anyone to know I have done this ( people at work). Is it possible? Any advice? Thank you.
