  1. Thanks for all the picture of your journey. It is GREAT to see what is possible! You are inspirational. All the best!

  2. Great Job ALL! I was banded July 11, down about 25 total including 2 weeks pre-op. I am not feeling the difference in clothes yet. I notice that it takes a while for my clothes to reflect the weight loss. I feel good. I get tired easily still and have some port pain if I try to lean down to far. I am eating pretty normally. Struggling with not drinking during meals. Had a glass of wine last night. Other than that, I'm really sticking with eating 3 small meals no rice, Pasta or bread. Wishing you all continued success. Thanks for the support. Lisa
  3. Banded July 11. Lost 21 total (pre & post). Hopefully moving on to mushies on WEDNESDAY! Already have supper planned. Congrats everyone on your great work so far! It is truly inspiring. All the best, Lisa

    July 2011 Bandsters!

Daniella, I hit two weeks post op today! Last week was rough! I didn't feel well enough to be busy, so I had lots of time to think about food. However, it went quickly! Each day that went by, I felt better. Chin up! It gets SO much better. I promise. All the best, Lisa
  6. Hello from Bandland! I was banded on Monday. The surgeon was running really late. I had surgery scheduled for 3 was closer to 5ish? Stayed overnight and was sent home Tuesday about 8pm. Was really nauseas Tuesday and yesterday. Took pain meds until last night. Haven't had any today. Tried really hard to drink yesterday but kept feeling sick. Twice, I actually thought I was going to throw up but didn't. Had some water, protein shake and a popscicle today. That's it so far, I am not hungry at all. Really need to start getting some fluids in but nervous about getting sick. I have been walking around a lot. Keep walking, take gas-x and bring a pillow for the car ride home. The roads are bumpy in Boston! SO glad I had a pillow. The only really serious thing is the colace tastes just awful. I want to go to the bathroom, but the thought of drinking that stuff again makes my stomach churn. I did get to meet my new band-sister, Jenny at the hospital. She came by to visit me a couple of times and it was good to have someone there going through the same things. Keep the faith all! It is great on the other side!! Lisa
  7. Hi Jen. I can't wait until Monday and dread it at the same time. I think coming on here makes me much calmer. Am very excited to meet you in recovery! To be completely honest, I am having a beer! I don't really even like beer but it's my last one for while. I feel so inspired by all the newly banded. Thanks for keeping us positive! It means so much. I look forward to being on the other side!!! All the best. Lisa
  8. Hi Everyone, I am being banded on July 11. Only a few more days! I have to say that I am petrified. I am usually a nervous nelly anyway so I am just attributing it to that. Hope everyone is doing well and I can't wait to be on the other side. Lisa
