Great story! But I'm slow...what is a NSV?

I have a question...I'm 5 months post-op and have had little to no hair loss...when can I stop worrying that it's going to start coming out in handfuls any minute now?? Am I out of the woods yet?

I'm afraid I spoke too soon...it looks like my hair is thinning a bit and is noticable near where my hair naturally parts. I'm a bit sick about this...my stylist told me years ago I have only two hairs per follicle where others normally have three, so I already have fine, thin hair...to lose more will be devastating...I've tried eating 60 grams of protein a day, but can never get that much in....dammit, I thought I could stop worrying and now it looks like I'm only just starting.

I'm so over those d*&@! shakes! Haha!! I'm with you there...I couldn't gag another one of those things with a gun to my head...well maybe with a gun.

I started out at 206 lbs...had surgery August 15th 2011 and last Monday (my weekly weigh-in day) the scale read 136...so yes it's possible..very, very possible.

One question....does it supposedly just promote head hair growth as I really don't want to lose hair but I really, really don't want a mustache.

I also had left shoulder pain..I'm 5 months out and my pain is associated with eating too fast. Once I learned to slow down it has eased but by all means, look into it further if it is still bothering you.

Hello...hoping someone can calm my fear a bit. I'm four months post-surgery and for the last week or so I've developed left shoulder pain. Please tell me I'm too far out to have to worry about a leak. I had the same pain immediately after surgery but that was related to the trapped gas from surgery. Any insight will be appreciated..thanks!

I am 4.5 months out and I usually eat around 1000 - 1200 calories a day; I had to start doing this as when I was eating under 900 and then burning 400 at the gym, that wasn't working so well. I feel good at 1000 or so..and I love love love myfitnesspal.com to help me track everything.

I'm 5'1 AND A HALF That half-inch is very important to me...I'm 4.5 months post-op and down 63 lbs; from 206 lbs to 142.6!

Hi everyone! I've read lots of stories about people losing lots of hair...but is there anyone out there who hasn't experienced it? I'm 4.5 months post-op and luckily I've not noticed any. Anyone else?

I gained a quarter pound and I'm so upset by it. No excuses, I didn't exercise last week AND I had a few extra tastes of some Christmas treats...but seeing that scale go UP again, just like pre-sleeve, shook me up like I wasn't expecting. Now to just use this as inspiration to keep going and not give up as I would have in the past.

Ateam...I know I shouldn't let it get me down..I've been very fortunate that I never had a stall..for the first time in over four months, the scale went UP instead of down and it shocked me a bit. I'll get busy at the gym this week and hope for a better weigh-in next month.

Thank you Debbie! I'm an August 2011 sleever also..and yes, we've come so far. I won't give up, but I think I needed to 'talk' about it to help me feel better. Thanks again!

I bought a heated a mattress pad...it's awesome. I freeze all day and then it's like slipping into a warm tub of water.
