I think my 'name' is jamie56lbs....i know it's crazy I don't know this for sure..but I only used it as a tool for calorie counting. You can add me though....might be fun and informative, however, I'm not really sure how to use it.
-
I'll have to play with it...as I don't use myfitnesspal for anything but counting my calories.....I don't have a public 'thingy'...but I'll look into it.
-
I probably don't eat as I should, but I eat a way that works for me....every morning I have a slice of peanut butter toast...at around 10 AM I have a Nature Valley protein bar (yum)...12:30 is half a PB&J sandwich....maybe at 3 I'll have a piece of string cheese or an orange....I have whatever I fix my family for supper......and in the evenings I usually always have a TCBY frozen yogurt bar and I always always have my 2.5 cups of white cheddar popcorn. I get around 1200 - 1400 calories a day, but I lack protein (usually getting around 50-60 grams). I eat whatever I want but ALWAYS count my calories on Myfitnesspal.com (which I love). On the weekends I still stay within my calorie range but I'll include a trip to DQ (mini blizzards are great) or whatever treat we're indulging in....but again, I always count the calories.

Never in my life did I ever think I'd be struggling with the awesome task of shedding 'those last 10 lbs'...but that is exactly what I'm dealing with...and its a wonderful thing to stress over!!!!

Protein How Do You Get It In
jailynn replied to Anewlifeforme23's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm nine months out and still do not get in all my protein...I really need to find a protein drink that doesn't suck. -
Same here....not a man....hardly go at all. My blood work showed my BUN was elevated and my doc says I have to drink more Water (which is hard but I'm trying) but literally if I saved it up all day, I bet I go less than 8 oz. Remember peeing like a normal person? I'm amazed every time I'm in a public bathroom and here other woman going (gross I know)..but I notice this now.

Believe me...you will lose weight. I'm at the point now that people are telling me "enough already"....you will lose. Take it easy...don't stress, follow your doc's advice. Enjoy!

All you have to do to get excited about exercise is go to the gym for one week and see how it boosts your weight loss...then it will be fun to go and watch the progress!

Thanks for the feedback....I guess it's time to go see the doc. I've been avoiding it, just wanting to feel better on my own.

I'm 7 months post-op and only 5 lbs from goal...and I literally feel like crap. I'm moody and depressed ALL the time and it's really starting to affect my marriage. I don't think my husband can stand me anymore. I knew losing weight wasn't going to make everything perfect but I feel like I went in the opposite direction all together! Yes I love my new body and I feel great physically, but emotionally I'm a wreck!! Anyone else?? I know exercise is good and I go to my gym as regularly as I can but this feeling is draining....Also, and I don't mean to get too 'tmi' here but I have absolutely no 'interest' if you know what I mean...I should love showing off the new 'me' to my husband...but I hardly want him to talk to me, let alone touch me...UGH, I need advice.

Hair Advice Please! I'm Freaking Out!
jailynn replied to Queen of Crop's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have a question....I also am losing hair (I'm 7 months out)...will my body adjust eventually or am I bound to keep losing hair if I can't ever get my 60-80 grams of protein in a day that is recommended?? -
I REFUSE to give up Diet Coke...I don't care what anyone says!!

One More Question About Calories...
jailynn posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
According to the internet in order for me to maintain my current weight (133 lbs) I'd have to eat 1900 calories a day...I average around 1200 give or take....and my weight loss has slowed/stopped..so what's the deal?? -
I'm just about there...my BMI is in the normal range and I'm wondering how much I can expect my weight to fluctuate now. It's a bit discouraging to see the scale stay the same or go up a bit. I guess my question is....what is normal and at what point should I actually start to worry? My biggest fear (at this time) is losing control.

Flame Free Friday Confessions!
jailynn replied to Lilee84's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have Diet Coke and white cheddar popcorn every night, I drink a little when I eat, I'm struggling with the motivation to exercise, I don't eat enough protein and I weigh myself too much. Whew! Feels good to come clean. -

I'm about 6.5 months post-op; is anyone else out there an emotional wreck? I'm tearing up over stupid commercials and constantly irritated with my husband....I've read that estrogen plays a role when losing weight rapidly....but will it stop soon 'cuz this sucks!!

Ladies - Starting Weight 200
jailynn replied to monalisa1010's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I do not work out everyday...I average 3 days a week...sometimes less as I also have four kids and can't always make it. I LOVE myfitnesspal.com which helps me keep track of everything I eat but I do not deprive myself of anything. Good luck. I remember thinking that my weight loss was going to stop at any minute, this was just to wonderful to really be happening...but it's happening. Enjoy!! -
