About Me

I FINALLY TOOK THE LEAP!!!!!!!!!!!! I am 46 years old, and have been fighting my weight for the past 12 years. I have done the Nutrisystem, Weightwatchers, Adkins diets without much success. I would lose 9 pounds, and nothing. Very frustrating. I decided for my 47th birthday, I was going to do something for myself. I contacted BeLiteWeight in December 2010 and had the surgery set for January 14, 2011. My husband thought I was crazy, because the surgery was going to take place in Juarez, Mexico. He had his concerns, but he supported me and went with me and was there for me the whole time. I arrived on Friday and that evening they were performing the surgery. To be honest, in pre-op I came very close to telling them to forget it, I couldn't do this. But I sucked it up and had it done. The next day, I felt like crap, and my husband was very concerned because we had to get on a plane in 48 hours, and he did not think it was going to happen. The second day I looked 3/4 normal, started walking, had a shower - boy does that make a difference - started taking liquids. Come Monday - time to go home, I was ready. A little sore, like working your abs too much, but able to fly. I weighed in at 218 on 14 January. My weight on 17 Jan @ midnight was 209. I weighed on 18 Jan in the morning at 207.4. I lost more weight in 4 days, than I did in 4 weeks. I was wondering what the heck I was doing getting this done, but I am happy it was done, even though I am still a little sore. It only gets better from here.
