I just had my lap band on 7/5/11. I was so nervous and anxious at the same time. I am so happy it is over. I made the decision at the beginning of the year. I am diabetic with high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and I'm taking prozac for depression. In the last few years, I gained so much weight, I was three dress sizes bigger. I felt heavy. I lost my enthusiasm for life. I was very unhappy. I researched different ways to lose weight. I chose lap band because it was FDA approved and it didn't take away from my body. I found True Results on the internet. I was happy to know that they had a full process in place and they were recommended by my insurance company. I talked it over with my husband. At first, he was hesitant, but he came around. I told him at had nothing to do with him, but everything to do with me. I was tired of what I had become and I wanted to be healthy and get rid of all of the medications. I also told him that the excess weight was preventing me from having. I went through four months of doctor's visits, cardiac tests, psychological exams, and finally approval from my primary care physician. It has been an exciting and trying time. I am hapy to say I made it. Now the true journey begins.
