For the record this story is about my daughter. She had lap band surgery in 2009--she lost about 60-65 pounds----but never felt well. She started . In 2010 she started having trouble with sore, throat, rapsey voice and post nasal drip. When he went to an ENT doctor she was refer to a GI doctor. From his test it resulted in deflating the lap band. She was told the for 18-20 yrs. she had been misdiagnoised and should never have had the lapband surgery. She has also been dealing with constipation since her teens. Every doctor told her to eat more fiber etc etc. Now she's told never eat raw veggies, red meat, ( in 2006 she was diagnoised with large lazy colon after a colonoscopy procedure. this doctor started her on medications which never worked. She has also been diagnoised with colonic interia. --My daughter is gaining weight but is told she has gastroparesis -- her lab results so not thyroid, no diabetie. I'm asking if the lap band procedure could have caused damage to the vagus nerve. Please help answer my questions. The doctors have told her she need a total coloctomy with attachment from small intestine to rectum. We are getting a second opinion from Cleveland Clinic but I'm not sure how long we will have to wait. Thanks concerned mother
