Dumping Syndrome w/ VSG?
tjharmon replied to alexer's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I get it--I tried to "lube" some peanut butter up because I was having trouble getting it down--so I lubed it with syrup (one of my fav combinations pre-op) I thought I was dying!!! I have tried syrup a few other times and find I just can't do it!!! I don 't get it with carbs at all--but also had it when I tried to eat a BITE of cake--guess I needed it like miss diva!!! -
he is wonderful--the night after my surgery was that big blackout in mexico and california--he came to my room, sat down and talked with me and my hubby for 2 hours!! he talked about america and mexico and the differences and the similar things--it meant a lot to me---btw-the hospital had generators and i never knew about the blackout until he mentioned it!! he is a wonderful man you will never feel like he has something else to do!!

How To Choose The Right Agency To Source Gastric Sleeve Surgery In Mexico?

Has anyone used successfully slimmer ?
tjharmon replied to jn26845's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
christi is real--I'm sorry I don't know anything about that dr--but dr kelly is AWESOME!!! I was sleeved almost two months ago and couldn't be happier with my results -
ok--so I went to the bank this morning--(I live in a small town where everyone knows I had VSG) and the girls working in there start telling me that my clothes are way too baggy and that they look bad. Now, this is a little bit NSV and a little concerning. Concerning because I don't feel like I am ready for tighter clothes yet. I have spent the last 20 years making sure that my clothes covered everything and were never tight on me--the less skin they actually touched the better. Elastic waist and VERY long shirts have been normal for me. A friend called me the other day and told me she had a bunch of clothes for me so I went and got them and they all fit--but they are tight--not tight like they are too small--but tight like in style--I just can't see myself wearing them right now I have went from a tight size 24 to a nice fitting 14/16 in two months so I am happy about that--I am just a little worried about when will my head catch up with my body? I keep thinking that no one will even be able to notice that I have lost weight and am surprised when someone says something about it. Just wondering how long till your mind knows you are thinner???

OMG..13 days till surgery and I am changing my mind
tjharmon replied to bethk12@gmail.com's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
my pre op post was called "backing out" I was sure I was not going to make it and I was scared to death--my only regret now is that I didn't do this sooner!!! -
my back was killing me--Dr said I was standing differently and using different muscles due to the weight loss--mine stopped hurting after a couple of weeks--hang in there!!!
-
feeling great!!! I am currently in my second week stalled and wishing it would quit-- I can't drink the Protein at all--the smell gags me--so I am doing the best I can with food--I don't eat cottage cheese or yogurt so I am just doing the best I can I didn't feel the restriction at first, but now two bites is about my limit--I have found if I eat more than that, I don't eat for the rest of the day--just too full!!! liquids are not a problem, but about two weeks ago, I started getting sick to my stomach when I would drink water--so I haven't been able to get much of it down lately I feel great and the loss is really starting to show--my only real problem is the 4 am wake-ups--i feel like I will never sleep through the night again!!!!

After eating too fast
tjharmon replied to FishingNurse's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
LOL I have been wondering about this--it seems like every time I take a drink for the past few days I sneeze--it has been driving me crazy!!!! I have had the runny nose too--I am having issues with slowing down when I eat and drink--(old habits are hard to break) now I guess I know... -
It seems, that since my surgery, I go to bed at a normal time, but seem to wake up at 3 or 4 in the morning and can't go back to sleep--this started about three days after surgery and continues until now --almost three weeks-- I never had a problem like this before. Did anyone else experience this?? Any idea??

tjharmon replied to DoOver's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I saw it, I couldn't help but feel that she has some real mental issues--she was hearing what he was telling her, but it was like she was not processing it correctly... I feel bad for her, but I don't see anything changing unless she gets psy help -
