Hi Everyone! I just wanted to let everyone know my blog is hosting a giveaway from Lane Bryant. 2 winners will receive a $30.00 gift card from Lane Bryant (mailed personally from me). I know with weightloss it is hard to purchase clothes. I thought this might be of interest to you. I don't have many entries right now so wanted to give you the heads up. I won't post my link here, I am not intending to spam anyone. But if you are interested in this just send me a email either here or to my email Kysweetheart2007@gmail.com and I can send you the link. On a different note my revision surgery went great. I am getting restriction back and almost to that green zone. I am debating on getting another fill this week or waiting until after Christmas. I don't want to be too tight but then again I don't need to be gaining weight either. Egg Nog is goin to slide right down either way I look forward to hearing from you! Tabby

I guess I am not as technically inclined as a lot of people but I have one blog I normally I use. Instead of blogging there and then blogging in different forums I usually do one blog (my main one) then share that link in forums, groups, etc. I have also seen other people putting links so I didn't realize I shouldn't do that. Instead of someone coming to me saying my link bothered them they report me for putting links. Thats sad. I came to this support group to not be brought down but to offer positivity when I could and to also receive it when needed. There is some amazing people in here and it saddens me that people would report me. I want to thank the people that has always had a kind word and the ones that didn't can go ....post a blog. sorry for offending anyone and it won't happen again. Believe me.

Thanks Dylan and IceStorm. I will be around, I need the support. To be honest I just got my feelings hurt initially but I should've read the terms of service and not posted a link in here. It still bothers me that people couldn't message me and say "don't post your links your bothering me" but instead they reported me. I could've got thrown out of the group and I depend on this group for answers and support. This journey is rough enough. Anyways I am better now p.s. I believe in karma.

Bummed.... Gaining Weight Back. From 340 To 285. Now 310 :(
Tabby Ann replied to eyecandy's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
The weight really does come back faster then it goes off. I just had revision surgery because of a leak in my port cord and when I lost restriction I gained back all the weight I had lost plus some. It's discouraging. Don't give up though. It's a daily struggle but we all can do it. -
wow 202 lbs in 11 mnths is awesome! You are doing wonderful. Sorry about your daily struggle with cravings, seems like you are stronger then they are.. Show them who is boss and keep up the good work. Your story is inspiring!

Profile Pictures Are Deceptive To Me.
Tabby Ann replied to meyouus's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
one of my skills as an overweight person is photo manipulation. No I don't photoshop my pictures but I normally only post pictures of my head and still people usually can tell I am overweight. I am dreaming of the day that I feel comfortable enough to post full bodied pictures of myself. -
I am officially fixed. Well as soon as I heal! I had my surgery and it went well. It didn't take long at all and while I had my doubts about the sedation I actually slept through it. They took me in the room and started putting meds in my IV and the next thing I know they are waking me and the doctor was gone (I didn't even see him coming in the room). I came out and if it hadn't been for them trying to figure out their new computer program I would've been out in less then half an hr. Right now I am burning around the incision. The incision is actually almost as long as my cell phone and that suprised me. He put 2 ccs in to start me out so now I just wait for 2 weeks and see how its going. He did send me home with liquid hydrocodone so that will help, I hope! I had no reason to be nervous.

Today I found out why I have had no restriction. I had been starving lately and gaining and I didn't understand why. I was to the point I was embarrassed to go get another fill. Today I requested for the Fluid to be removed and put back in, all 14 cc's. The problem was when the nurse went to remove it there was maybe 5 cc's in my band. Turns out I have a leak in my port tube. She said this was very rare and she helped move appointments around to get me back in next Thursday to see the doctor and figure out when I can go in and get a revision. I am not as nervous about the surgery, the pain or anything like that. I guess what scares me most is the cost. I am self pay. I did get the 2 yr plan when I got my surgery done, I am hoping the plan included revisions. It will be Monday when they call me to tell me the news on the cost. While I am not happy with the news, I am happy to know that I am not a lost cause and that there is a solution. Maybe this time I will finish what I started. Tabby

Confirmed! Leak Not My Imagination
Tabby Ann replied to bcf_momma's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Same thing is also going on here. I was going in every 2 to 3 weeks hoping for that restriction that never came. Finally they checked and I was leaking. They said it was very rare. Reading this thread it doesn't seem rare at all! They got me in really fast to fix the problem. I go in tomorrow at 10:45 and they said it takes about 30 minutes. I sure hope this works! Good luck to everybody and keep on keeping on! We can and will finish what we started. Tabby -
No Nancy, He is out of Ohio. I don't believe he has anything to do with True Results. I just looked it up and didn't see him in the affiliations. I told my husband that by the time we got a lawyer it would probably cost us more then the 2,000 and I really want this taken care of. I know the band works. The doctor told me that this only happened one other time and it was with a different type of band.

I am scheduled to go in Monday for a revision surgery, due to a leak in my port. I am not as nervous as I was the first time round but as the days get closer I feel nerves going. My worst fear now is the fact that I won't be knocked out. They are going to numb and sedate me. They say I probably won't remember anything with the sedation so I will trust them with this. In the mean time I have tried to keep myself busy by turning my blog into more of a website. Nothing fancy but dressing it up some. So many things I would love to do with it but happy with it for the time being. It is www.shoppingwives.com I do real honest product reviews and cover anything from food to trips. I am not selling anything, just offering my opinion. Of course I also talk about everyday life, my family. bargains.. I vent. It's the good, the bad and the ugly. I also started a facebook page for it: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Shopping-Wives/299042063541771 Please feel free to like my page and follow me. I would love to hear from you. After all I am going through it will sure help to have friends! Tabby

UPDATE: I am scheduled for a port revision surgery Monday the 29th *this Monday* They worked on getting me in there fast. They said it will only take about half an hr. They are not even knocking me all the way out. They are giving me a heavy sedation and numbing me. I hope that works and I don't wake up and feel it all I was charged 2,000.00. That was for the sedation and the use of the facility. I will be posting and letting everyone know how it goes.

LBT Addict. You are right. I feel that since it wasn't something I did and the band was defected that I shouldn't have to pay anything. My husband said right off that if we were charged he would get a lawyer involved. after looking at what the package we bought covered I accepted we would be out money. Of course when I purchased the package I assumed the band we bought was new and in top shape, not defected. By rights I shouldnt have to pay for anything. They havent called me back yet. it would probably cost more to get a lawyer involved so we will see what happens. Regardless I want my band back and working. I am ready to get farther down the path of this lifelong journey.

lapband guru, it was an eye opener! It showed me the lapband really does work. It showed me how fast weight can come back on. It showed me there is always an answer and to not give up. Yes, while I don't look forward to going through surgery again, it has on the same time gave me a refound hope. It is really bittersweet.

Colleeb, I asked the nurse if it was something I might have done to cause this and she said it was nothing I done. In that case it seems like it wouldn't be my place to repair something I already bought once. On a different note, I got out my papers from when I first had the surgery done and seen that the package I paid for included any port revisions and the surgeons fee is waived. It says I will be responisble for paying for anesthesia and facility cost as well as port. I will just wait and see what they say when they call me Monday or Tuesday. Maybe this is a different situation since it's rare. Thanks for your reply and good luck!

My husband and I are also use (and sell) Herbalife products. I used the products while on my liquid phase with wonderful results. I know Herbalife suggests 2 shakes a day and 1 regular meal but I will admit I have been only doing one shake a day and then 2 regular meals. I think they are great products myself and I know they work. I just like to eat my calories so I don't do the 2 shake a day thing now. They are great on days you are tight though. Good Luck on whatever you decide to do!
