I had my lapband surgery in 2008. I lost about 30 lbs, but then 'life happened' and I got off the wagon for about a year and a half. Now, July 1, 2011, I just had my first fill, just a small fill, and I am determined to stay on the wagon. What else happened? I did not take advantage of the supports and did not focus on my needs. I, just as many women, focused more on my family and others instead of myself. My goal is to be more balance in my life which includes focusing on my needs. The lapband works, it just that I need to work with it.
