I have struggled with my weight since high school.  I was always a little bigger than the other girls.  Even when I was a cheerleader I was so concerned about my weight I was bullemic for a while.  I chose lapband surgery aftery 3 years of fertility treatments added about 80lbs to my weight, thankfully I got a beautiful little girl out of the deal!  Losing the weight became very important to me because I am 39 yrs old and my husband is 52.  My daughter is 2.  I want to be an active mom, and be around for as long as possible.  I am diabetic already and don't want to add anything else to my medical history.  So... I chose lapband because I feel like it is the only permanent tool available for weight loss.
