I just read this on this site, wondering how you are doing, I am getting frustrated because I am not losing the weight as fast as I did in the beginning. I was averaging a pound a day and I am almost afraid to eat, use mostly shakes which are satisfying to me.
Great advice and beautifully written as well.

I had my surgery on thurs and went to work on mon, I'm a nurse so my job requires some physical things but had assistance lifting. I was not in pain just still gassy.
I am being banded on the thursday and hoping to be back to work on the Monday, but its a sit down job so I am hoping for the best.
Good Luck with the job thing!!!!! Hopefully you won't loose it.

I was banded on the 30th, so far no problems, I too cheated a little everyday, in fact after surgery i ate about 10 potato chips, just let them melt in my mouth. I wouldn't suggest it though. I had to pay cash for this so there is more incentive for this to work. I would do it again..have been doing better and losing weight.
For those interested, I put the powdered Peanut Butter info on my blog. I'll also cross post in the July 2011 post op group.

I am at day 8 and am hungry too, i feel like i need to chew something, have been drinking alot of crystal light but not really helping.
I'm a week out too. Definitely normal. The bump will go away as the incision heals. Yes thats where the port is and it will be sore for awhile :-) I have to ask, are either one of you hungry???? It is just terrible. I feel like I can eat anything and I TOTALLy want to because I'm so hungry. I'm not trying to jump off the wagon, I just HATE this stage of the game. whew, glad I got that off my chest.

What to Eat?!

My doctor gave me a very simple guide to follow, Protein with every meal, no crackers, no chips, no cheese, no nuts and no high calorie Desserts. I have cheated with the chips even the day of my surgery, I think I needed the salt. Everything else is fine he did say some people have difficulty with soft bread and rice but he didn't say to not eat them. I am not buying anymore chips so I won't be tempted and the funny thing is chips were never a problem, I was always a steak and potatoes girl.
