As most of us here, I had tried every diet out there and was successful at first but once I stopped, the pounds would come back.  I have struggled with my weight for over 20 years and as I get closer to 40, it is so much harder to loose.  I have PCOS and with that comes weight gain and fertility problems and I have been borderline diabetic for 15 years.  I was ready to make a healty change and decided on lapband.  I had looked into the surgery 2+ years ago and my husband was against it so I tried 10 more diets until he too realized I needed more.  Once he got onboard, the process was quick (since I am self pay) and today (July 3, 2011) I am one week post op:)
