  1. Hi, I was banded on June 28 2011. So far I've lost 45 lbs. I feel wonderful. I think that is what is slowing my weight loss down. I feel so great and am enjoying my smaller size so much I give myself little excuses why it will be okay to cheat. I am having a hard time sticking to my plan on the weekends. During the week I am okay because I am at work. How many calories should I take in. How many carbs. Each day I struggle with the question of should I count calories or carbs... I'm just confused. Someone help me out give me some encouragement. I know 45 lbs is great but I want more. What about portion sizes..how much does everyone else eat. This is what I normally eat Breakfast: Smart One: Quesidillia 230 calories Lunch: Canned chicken with Mustard. and a serving of Lays Light Potato chips(75 calories for the chips Dinner: Boneless Skinless chicken breast with green Beans Am I eating too much? Oh and I always drink 64 oz of Water Thanks
  2. Hi all, I was banded on June 28, 2011. I am down 33 pounds. I lost 6 during the pre-op diet. I feel great, but lately I've gotten sort of complacent. I am snacking more and I know its not going to help with my weight loss but I can't seem to get myself out of this slump. Also, I have had one fill, I had 5 cc's put in my band on the 19th of August. I'm not really feeling too much restriction when it comes to eating certain foods although I can eat a little and be full for 3 to 4 hours. This band is a great tool and I know I am not doing myself any favors by snacking. What do you all do to help you stay on track or keep from snacking on bad foods just because they are there? One more thing. What do most of my fellow banders do....count carbs or count calories....if so give me and example of what is a good amount of carbs or calories in a meal, or should I get rid of the carbs all together. Thanks
  3. Question......I had surgery June 28....just moved to pureed foods..how many carbs and fat grams should you eat a day....example I ate some refried beans with 2 grams of fat and 19fat carbs per half a cup..seemed like alot to me...I only ate about 3/4 of a cup but...is that too much ...does everyone count fat grams carbs and calories or just calories? Just confused any help would be greatly appreciated.

    surgery 6/28/11

Wow...I'm not having trouble getting my protein shakes down at all. I guess everyone is different. Did your Dr. put saline in your band when he put it in?
  5. Hi all, I had my surgery last Tuesday June 28. My doctor ordered 5 days Clear liquids (made it through that) and then two weeks of full liquids. Right now my meals consist of: Breakfast: Muscle milk light (15g protein) and I add a scoop of whey (25g protein) the shake is eight ounces Lunch: Muscle milk light (15g protein) the shake is eight ounces Dinner: one cup of runny mashed potatoes or some low fat Soup which is (3g protein) Is this good... I am getting full after my Breakfast and I can go four hours before I feel hungry again but after lunch I still feel hungry....Dinner normally fills me up...even though I want to eat more at dinner...I do not. Oh and I can't forget that throughout the day I am drinking my 64 oz of Water (thats all I drink) And one other thing...anyone else experiencing restless leg syndrome?
