Too Full Again...............
Tippy2us replied to fluffylibra30's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi there, I measure out my food and if I eat it all great, and if I don't, also great. But I don't eat more than what I measured and if I don't feel full right away, I do in about 15 minutes. It took some time to figure out though and I was throwing up a lot in the beginning :-( -

Is the ACID forever now?
Tippy2us replied to Tippy2us's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Update: I'm a little over 4 months out now and can pretty much take the Prevacid Solutabs every other day now. Surgeon wanted me off at 3 months but no way. Primare Care Doc said they are fine and it will take 6 months so I keep plugging away. I've had no reflux in over a month though so that's nice...just heartburn if anything and that was only when I skipped the medicine for 2 days hoping to get off of it. -
I've never had acid problems in my life! Is it going to be forever now?

Way to go!!! Sooo happy for you! -
Yes. I plan to follow him. I'm sick of trainers and doctors who don't have a clue what it's like to be fat.

This is the thing for N2B8R and Norman and for lots of people out here. Your wives are threatened by your changing bodies and huge success. They chose you because they had low self esteem and probably thought they were a little better than you. NOw you are getting thin, getting healthy, feeling great, looking fantastic, and they are afraid they will lose you. It happens all the time. If you truly love your wife or girlfriend then just reassure her of that, and encourage her to get sleeved by telling her she's the most important thing in your life and you want her to experience this wonderful new life with you. If you don't love her or if you realized the relationship isn't healthy and probably never was, then move on. I hope it works out the way YOU want it to because this is about YOU and don't feel bad about that. Take care...huggs.

Finally reached constriction . Now what
Tippy2us replied to bayareanan's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm a revision. I had no major problems with the lapband other than poor weight loss. It was either too loose or too tight, I only lost 50 lbs in 4 years, then I gained 10 back and still had 50 to go. I also hated the port. It just hurt all the time. Doc emptied it a week before my revision and I gained 5 more UGH. Anyway, the sleeve is a lot different. You absolutely can NOT over eat or you throw it up. I've lost 43 lbs since I was sleeved the end of June and I could not be happier. No more port, no more choking feeling. And no more overeating. There are also dangerous complications that can happen with the band such as slippage or erosion, that doesn't happen with the sleeve. My only problem with the sleeve is acid. Everyone says that's temporary and I hope so! That's my story! -
1 month out! I did it!

so what did you do to break the stall?
Tippy2us replied to tjharmon's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I stalled at about 10 weeks out and I broke it by eating more and exercising less. I lost 5 lbs in 1 week! Now I'm stalled again...going on 3 weeks. So frustrating. -
When they say stuff like that just smile and say "Thank you for noticing!!" That will shut them up. I agree with Kelly too that that's how some people compliment, but I also think some of them are jealous. Keep up the GREAT work! You will be where YOU want to be before you know it!

I love tuna with chopped hard boiled egg, dill pickle, and light Ken's caesar dressing. SOunds yucky but soooo good!

Make an appointment and discuss this with your surgeon. Every week I felt better and better. I was worried about things too but everyday it got a little better. Definitely see your doc. He can reassure you...and stay on this site. So much great info and people in the same boat with you. Big huggs!

Congrats! I'm a band to sleeve VERY happy customer! I had my band emptied 1 week before surgery and gained 5 lbs! But that's me! Good luck, you will be so happy to get rid of that band!

Anywhere that serves scrambled eggs! Also, Panera has amazing soups. I get soups out all the time. I love lobster bisque or french onion, creamy potato, yummy! For fast food, refried beans, mashed potatoes, baked potatoes from Wendy's.....hope that helps some.
