Polling the Audience.....
Chris S. - L.I. replied to princess_n_thep's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Butch, I'm wondering if we ever met. Did you ever go to Dr. Geiss' support group meetings? I had my surgery with him in Sept. 2003 but went to a few meetings before I had the surgery, in fact I still go every once in awhile. It's so comforting to see someone who has had the band for a long time and is doing so well. -
Are you talking about the Biggest Loser show with the military wives? Did you realize one of them had gastric bypass and has gained the weight back?
-
Newbander, I suggest you get "step away from the doctor". This is not how Lap Band surgery is done unless there was a complication when they went in perhaps with lots of previous internal scarring. Who is your doc and how many surgeries has he done? Chris S.

I need all of your thoughts on this...

I think everyone already said what I was going to say. Wait for the insurance so you will be covered for the surgery, aftercare and any unforseen circumstances. Chris S. -
Leatha, So glad to hear you are staying. I'm not sure what is going on but I do know that you belong here. Thanks for staying. Chris S.

WOW! I'm in the company of only 2 people here, DeeDee (Divaliciousdee) and Illude. I love Chris Brown (Run It, Run It), Kanye (but not his attitude), Fitti Cent (lol) and G Unit, etc. I love Regae too especially Bob Marley. I'm dying to get the new CD by Jamie Fox. I guess you can take the girl out of Brooklyn but not the Brooklyn out of the girl (or old lady since I'm 54). Chris S.

This is such great news!!!!! I'm so happy for you. I just have one question. What did you Dad do for a living? Did his occupation have anything to do with his lung cancer? -

Cough w/Vomit only when laying down

You gals have reflux. You need an unfill or slight unfill. Please don't let this go on. It can lead to aspiration pneumonia because the reflux might go into your lungs. -
Penni, I was going to ask what color you got but the answer is in the pics. Excellent choice!!!! I have the 300C with the Hemi and the Navigation system too and April will be 2 yrs. that I have it. Mine is silver and still everytime I get into it I say how much I love it. It's soooo comfortable!!! Good Luck!!! If I was there I'd throw in some change for luck. Chris S. PS You look great!!!

PEOPLE Magazine's Weight Loss Issue
Chris S. - L.I. replied to DeLarla's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I started WW last week and had my first weigh in Tues night and I'm down 4 lbs. I have been stalled in my weight loss for a very long time. Total Band loss was 62 pounds (pre WW) 54 of that was the first year and only 8 last year. Now I am on my way again and I'm thrilled! The points system is pretty easy and I've bought a lot of the frozen meals to make it easier. The good thing too is that you get 35 extra points per week so I save them for my weekends in case I go out to dinner or to a party. My husband and daughter are doing WW also so that even makes it easier. Chris S. -
Finally!!!!! I wonder if Inamed had anything to do with it.
-
Fun game!!!! (Didn't win though.)
-
Penni, Inamed should buy it and see what the serial number is and track it to whomever purchased it. I was going to report this to Inamed on Monday but I'm glad you beat me to it. It's really scary especially seeing all the other bariatric surgery equipment one of the bidders purchased in the past.

who got banded the earliest here?
Chris S. - L.I. replied to DiDi's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Banded Sept. 2003 down 64 pounds 54 of that in the first year. -
Got mine yesterday too!!! What a surprise!!!!
-
After being banded for a little over 2 years my head is not in the right place and I am not losing. My daughter has a weight problem and in order to encourage her to lose weight I will be going to WW with her starting next week. Although it never really worked for me in the past, I am hoping that this diet along with my band may do the trick.
-
Lisa, I am so sorry. I don't know what else to say.
-
All I can say is WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
I can recommend my doctor but I'm not sure he takes your insurance, you would have to call his office and speak to Joanne. He name is Dr. Alan Geiss and his associate (who is a cutie! LOL) is Dr. Colin Powers. They have over 1,000 banded patients. They are located in North Shore Syosset Hospital and the number is 516-496-2752.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PS Did anyone see "The King of Queens" this week where his wife was doing the pole dancing in there room? It was hysterical!!!! (Not everyone can be a pole dancer.)
-
Penni, I am so sorry to hear this and you will be in my prayers. This is such a shock. Chris

Penni, I wish you good luck like I had. I had mine last month and everything was A-OK. Please post as soon as you can.
