When Did You Stop/start Buying Clothing?
panda replied to Kiki Von Moonshine's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I bought my first pair of new jeans, 3 1/2 months out i think. I chose to not buy anything until I didn't have to buy plus size anymore. -
For sure! Feels super good!
-
Awesome!!! Glad everything went well! Congrats on your loss so far!!! I still sometimes have trouble with taking 1 bite too many, so your not alone :blush5: it takes time.
-
Awesome job! Keep up the good work!

Well for the soda, I haven't touch the stuff or any carbonated drink since 1 week pre-op. I'll never touch it again. My doctor has scared us into thinking that the stuff can cause stretching, and in no way do I want to ruin my new tummy. But if your doctor is different, just follow what he/she says. Sorry couldn't help more in that department. The Protein bars I got to start eating them week 5 when I got to follow the "regular diet" as my doctor calls it. I used to do pure Protein Bars but the seem like rocks going down to me, so I switched to Atkins bars, less protein but they taste better and go down better.

Eight Weeks Out And Im At A Stall, Why? What Can I Do To Jump Start This?
panda replied to Kathy Dipzinski's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
When I was stalled I was eating 800 cals a day, I upped it to 900 and BAM! the stall was gone. So what I'm thinking is you're eating too few calories, you might want to up it a little and see what happens. Also switch up your workout routine or try something new to shock your body, it'll kick it back into gear! Hope this helps. It'll end, they always do =) -
WOW You look amazing Way to go!!! :not_ripe:

YAY!!!!!

So I'm now a little over 4 months out and it took that long to get a NSV I really felt awesome when it happened. I was shopping with my mom and sis, and was frustrated because we were in the misses section and I always think I can't fit anything in there, but then my mom forces me to try on a pair of 16s and I'm like riiiiight, I get into the fitting room pull them up easily and almost freaked! lol I've never worn that size in my life even in high school the smallest I remember is a 20. Since this I've bought some work pants in a 16 also! I'm still astonished
-
Thank you guys so much! @Dorrie Thanks It's just hard to imagine me being normal size. I guess I have come a really long way even though I'm not done I can't believe the progress I've made.

lol Gee, HI TER!!!!! missed you too!!!! Yeah at 4 months out, I'm down 65 pounds, been slacking on the exercise the past couple of weeks but that is sooooo about to change since my hours have changed so I will have more time for me! I've gone from a 24/26 to a 16. Congrats to you both on your successes!!!
-
Thanks for the hope! =) And yay!!! I've been at my second stall for days, I'm thinking the scale will even go up, but everyday It says the same exact thing. Here's to hoping this weekend workout will break it. *crosses fingers*

Drinking With A Straw
panda replied to mariemadeline's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I too use a straw, not everyday though but if I'm treating my self to a skinny frap, no other way to drink it w/o a straw. I just started without noticing. -

Friday The 13Th Weight Loss Challenge!
panda replied to bigdaddydlow's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm in! Starting weight 245. I'm going for 225 by April 13th! 20 pounds. Wish me luck, and good luck to all!!!! -
@EmShrams: Thanks for the quote I will certainly put it to use! I found myself at Starbucks today looking at the chocolate chunk cookie, and I actually just walked away! yay! =D @SKCUNNINGHAM &SuperMom: Well i don't take shots or anything I use pure Protein powder and I put two 25g scoops in. I had no time to split it with a busy life, but my life is going to get a lot more stable next month. I will have more time to concentrate on Water, more exercise and logging food honestly. (I talked to my nutritionist and she told me to split it too.) Thank you all for your knowledge and encouragement it means a lot! @BrownDoesAll: Thank you so much for your kind words I tried the hiding out thing today and it actually worked wonders! I tried to be a social butterfly I felt left out not going to the break room. But This is about me and getting healthy and looking the way I want to. Staying away from temptation seems to be the way to go for sure!

I never thought I'd be this person. I love my sleeve, I love what it has done for me so far. I just don't know why I'm screwing this up! First off I have a very stressful job. Right out of surgery I was a stay at home mom so everything was great, besides the boredom. Everything was scheduled out I got all my Water in, all my Vitamins and ate all the right foods and all the right portions. Now working and going to online school, and being a single parent. I think I've got a little too much on my plate but I can't drop anything. Let me get to the big issue. At work there is so many temptations and I find myself giving in. There always seems to be doughnuts in the break room! And i've probably had 3 or 4 over the past month. It doesn't sound bad there but for a while I was drinking caffeinated coffee that lasted about 2-3 weeks. then I had my 3 month post op appt. and the told me to stop so I nipped that in the but. I also have smoke cigarettes since surgery. I know it's bad but believe me my job makes me want to cry sometimes. Things hopefully will be getting better. I don't own any cigs but I have bummed some from employees. I've also had chocolate, pepermint bark, and Cookies here and there since surgery! I pretty much know what I need to do. Start measuring things out again, drink my water. take my vitamins. etc. etc. I just think I'm a failure and I really could use some encouragement. And knowledge from someone who has got a little out of control. I want to get back on track. I used to exercise 5 times a week now I can barely get in 1 day a week I'm just so exhausted. I'm going to go work out right now and try to lift my spirits. Please help!!! I want to be a good sleeve patient again!! I don't want to feel like I've ruined everything!

Thank you Donna! So far so good today i know it's only 6am but I've drank my protein shake, which is 50grams of protein, 10 to go, logged it in myfitnesspal and I'm on day one of Diva's bootcamp. I feel good about today =)
-
Thank you for sharing this I am certainly starting this tomorrow! I have been out of control sadly...
-
Thanks so much for the reply Indymom! I didn't get a chance to work out, today but I'm definitely starting new tomorrow. I measured out my lunch and snack, and have my Protein shake ready to go. I'm going to go back to logging everything. I think if I would have been logging all the bad stuff seeing myself go over my calorie limit over and over hopefully should of made a light go off in my head. I'm going to nip it in the butt with the treats. I'm going to stay away from the evil sweets in the break room. day one tomorrow starting new! Good job on your progress day 3 is better then being at day on 1 so keep it up! =D
