Pre Op Diet- No diet at all?
CT Fats replied to AutumnArmyWife's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Different docs have different regulations prior to surgery. Some docs like the pre diet because it shrinks the liver which kinda lies on top of the part of the stomach they are working on. It is not an absolute requirement but if you would feel more comfy with a nice small liver I guess you could do your own. -
EXCITED AND THANKFUL!!

I work in Respiratory and we do Bronchs while the patient is awake. It's called concious sedation. You will be given atomized lidocaine and a sedative and you will be very loopy and not feel a thing. Most of our patients wake up with numb throat and mouth talking about their childhood teddy bears. You will be fine. -

Any therapist worth his salt would see that you were distressed. Your emotions shouldn't hinder his decision, they are just seeing if you will have the fortitude to succeed post sleeve. Theres something about being in a psych office that makes a LOT of people cry and remember you can always go to a different therapist, your Doc wants you to have this surgery, he gets paid good and you get healthy. He's not gonna cancel you because of that, this is for insurance purposes. -

See, us guys can be caring and supportive too.

I hink part of the reason we are successful pre-sleeve losing the weight is that we are motivated to get the sleeve and continue. We know that we finally have the tools and know how to lose the weight for good and this changes our mind state which helps lose that weight

Nice. You are rocking it, keep chugging away -
Do not feel bad for looking great. Your change was not a magic cure all, you had to eat the right food, excercise and undergo surgery. That is a lot of work and it paid off, you look great!

Has anyone's fashion sense, style or image change since losing a lot of weight? I have always wanted to rock that cool, hipster, bum look like johnny depp, but as a fat guy you can't look messy-chic, you just come off as sloppy-fat. How has your sense of dress changed since dropping the weight?

Going back on liquids for a week

Changing routines at the gym is a HUGE help. Your muscles actually have memory and doing the same routine becomes ingrained to them. Shock your system, spend the whole day working your legs (biggest muscle in the body) and im sure you will lose a couple and be back on track. -
WOW. Just WOW you look great
