Oct 26 Smoky! You were right about us being sleeve buddies!! Soon2be, I def will check in with our october sleevers thread. I am finally excited, feel like its been a long, bumpy road.

thanks for the replies. Quitting was something I wanted to do for a while anyway so getting my surgery and saving my life is FAR more important then puffing up. Im going to try to go cold turkey and if it gets rough I'll get my doc to prescribe an aid.

Hello All I was just reading about members psych evals in another thread and someone mentioned that their therapist told them they will DEFINATELY lose friends after the weight loss. My therapist told me the same thing at my session. I really can't envision losing any of my friends because I lost weight! I have a couple friends who dropped some major poundage and I didn't get jealous or hate them, infact I couldn't have been happier for them. So how many of you successful sleevers have lost good friends after weight loss? Were they close friends, any jealous comments? Please share.

Hello All I am a seafood addict! Bacon wrapped scallops, lobster tail, king crab I will take it all. I am a volume eater and could probably consume all the above in one sitting. My question is, with seafood being kinda soft and flaky, how much does it take to fill you up with the sleeve? Examples would be great, like 3 scallops or one lobster tail.

Hello All Im going all around and buying up stuff Im gonna need post surgery to get used to the tastes and see if it works for me. Im keeping in mind the small capacity of my new tummy. Yesterday I discovered Oscar Meyer Cracker combos! Im sure someone on the boards has mentioned them before, but I couldn't find anything. They are basically like adult lunchables, but what I found was they have only 4 grams og carbs and 35 Grams protein! Baring in mind the small size of them, I thought this was a great sleever meal. They even have one that comes with whole wheat crackers and im sure if you didn't want the carbs you could just toss the crackers and do the meat and cheese. I grabbed the turkey chicken combo with wheat crackers and was happy with the taste, not all kiddy and processed like lunchables (kids will eat anything )

SeattleSue, I hear you.! If it was economiclly feasible I would live off of scallops, king crab, shrimp and and salmon! SurrenderDorothy, I totaly understand you on the purist spectrum as Im the same. But I really wanna cut out mayo for awhile. Does the veggienaise taste anything like real mayo?

Did you attend an informational seminar?
CT Fats replied to kemo46's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was required to do three from my doc, but only did one. (one of the perks of working in his hospital) It was small and kind of intimate with about 11 people. I think they are beneficial if you are new-new to the process, but Im big into personel research and with te VST board and youtube videos I feel like I could perform this surgery on myself! But if shes new then I would reccomend it. They even had people who have had the sleeve and were successful so you can see the results! -
Sorry to get your mouth watering guys, just double checked the packaging and it's 4% carbs! which is closer to 24 grams, but it includes a little minty dessert thingy which I wouldn't eat anyway. I guess I will do just the meat and cheese. LeahG, Im not sure what to tell you this one says it has 35 on the protein? Not sure why it would be different. N2B8r, not sure if you have Pricerite in Vegas but thats where I picked em up. Its like a discount food chain here.

SurrenderDorothy Thanks for the post. (Veggienaise) never heard of it, but it sounds interesting. Im gonna try some in an imitation crab salad and see if it works. How is it in tuna salad?

To tell or not to tell...
CT Fats replied to peacequeen's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think we you do tell, you open yourself up to doubters and questioners. It is a natural human reaction when people don't need/understand WLS. I think their reaction was in the realm of normal and it will take some time for them to understand your decision. If these are your loved ones you can hold out hope that they will become supportive. -
