What was your Bougie Size?
CT Fats replied to emmas mom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I actually watched someone get sleeved on youtube, I know what the bougie is for but does it stay in or is it just used as a guide then pulled out? -
Thats great man! Isn't it cool how our bodies can reverse all the crap we have done to them. Its a source for constant optimism
-
I would say def track all calories, it can suprise you how much you are actually taking in. And be positive it might not be super fast but you ARE losing.
-
^^^^Same thing I heard

Congrats keep us posted about every little thing. -
I have been alternating weekly to a liquid diet just so it wont be a shock to my body. I have found that if you can get past the head hunger liquids can give you a full satisfied feeling.

Comes down to age and genetics. Crunches don't really help as we lose fat all over with any form of excercise. It strengthens the muscles but you will not spot lose fat from around the waist. Just keep dieting and working out and give it time.

What my therapist wrote on my psych eval for insurance
CT Fats replied to lovePINK's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Now Im nervous. I didn't even see my eval, she just told me that she was recommending me for the surgery. What if she wrote all types of psycho-babble about me? All well there is always another doc. -
Its a little sweet but im a soda addict and it helps to kill the crave.

Is Isopure the only zero carb protein powder?
CT Fats replied to 300PoundsDown's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
VPX sports zero is pretty good and the price beats isopure -
I am so worried about eating out. Im used to ordering the heftiest meal on the menu and pigging out its gonna be a big change. Maybe two stuffed mushroom appetizers from red lobster instead of the captains feast.

Great question! I am ending the process of getting approved for the sleeve, but I have seen my mentality change since I began. I already see myself as a different and thinner person. Often when I see morbidly obese people, I wonder if they try and excercise or if they know about the various surgeries availible. We have all tried and failed at dieting and there is no shame in opting for WLS, however I have always had a hard time empathizing with obese people who do nothing for themselves. I know the pain and stigma being overweight carries its a battle I have been fighting all my life. I consider anyone going through any process to lose lbs a brother/sister in arms. But those who chose to do nothing and except their lot in life frustrate me a great deal.

Food Addiction SUCKS!!!
CT Fats replied to BetterthanIwasb4's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have been trying to eat like I already have the sleeve as Im getting closer. I figure if I can get used to it now I will be all the more successful. -
I think its just the American way now. People start to feel freaked out if you have small portions or no drink in front of you. They assume either you want something or somethings wrong with you, no one assumes your satisfied.

I see people mention refried beans a lot. Are the good for you? Don't they have a lot of carbs?
-
i LOVE crab legs! Are they considered a slider food since the meat is so fine?
