  4. SOOO Piseed off. Submitted everything to insurance and Aetna comes back that they changed their policy and I now need 4 months of nutrition visits instead of 3. It could be worse but it sucks thinking you were all done and then having another month of waiting added.

    PreOp Diet

First, Congrats on making it to surgery day! You have jumped through all the worthless hoops and are there. I would take a few minutes to just soak that up before anything. Second if you have people who do support your decision, give them a ring and tell them how you are feeling. There will always be people standing in the way of your goals you have to have the strength to knock them down. Get some positive energy flowing your way and CHUG that isopure!
  11. Submitted to insurance at 9:00am. Fingers crossed, lets get this show on the road!

    real world examples

Can someone give me some real world examples of how much food your new sleeved stomach can hold. I hear the ounces a lot but I am a visual person. Like can you eat a whole dunkin donuts donut? A whole Mcdonalds size cheeseburger? Not that you would eat these foods just examples that we all know.

    The Male Ego

This is dead on. I find myself not wanting to tell people about my surgery not because im self concious but because it seems like I needed help. I definately do but as a man it is tantamount to sin to need help.

    Belly Dancers Help!

The balance issues will improve. You have different proportions now and your inner ear has to adjust. Its kinda like in puberty when you get taller and then you get clumsy.

    Loss of friends

    All Protein Meatloaf

This sounds perfect for me! I wanted something with the taste of red meat but the nutrional value of white meat. Can I ask what site you order from?
  24. Found this on Lauras cooking tips. It works for me because im a recovering pancake junkie. Ingredients: 1 cup almond meal 2 eggs 1/4 cup water (for puffier pancakes, you can use sparkling water) 2 T oil 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 T sweetener Preparation: Mix ingredients together and cook as you would other pancakes. I like to use a nonstick pan with a little oil. The only real difference is that they won't "bubble" on top the same way as regular pancakes. Flip them when the underside is brown. Serve with sugar-free maple syrup, Easy Three Berry Syrup, strawberry topping, or other low carb topping. Yield: Six 4-inch pancakes Nutritional Information: Each pancake has 1 gram effective carbohydrate, plus 2 grams of fiber, 6 grams of protein, and 155 calories.
