I was Sleeved on July 28th 2011. I was 245 lbs and I am 5'3. I currently weight 182 lbs. So I have lost 63 lbs. I am very grateful but I would like to go down 40 more lbs. I have had a lot of health issue. I have had Breast and Uterus cancer scares within the last month. So I will be have my Uterus removed on the 18th. So excerise has not been on the top of my list. My calorie intake has been around 1200-1600 or less. Should I go back to a liquid diet for a few weeks? and exercise after I get released from the doctor from surgery.. I can only eat a few bites at a time.... So I am so frustrated that I have not been able to lose but a lb. every few weeks for the last three months. I know it is supposed to slow down but I am at a snails pace.....Can somebody give me some advice!!

I did the six mth waiting period with Cigna and was approved in 5 days. It will happen don't worry about it...

Help July sleevers!! I am eight months out and have not gotten to my goal weight!! I was 245 at the time of surgery and am currently at 183. I would like to be 130. So I have 53 more lbs to go. I have been stalled for a month. Anybody have any words of encouragement or tips to get the remaining 53 lbs off???

Has anyone tried to take protien pills??

I have managed in a week and 2 days to lose 16 lbs. but my weight has not changed in two days. I know this sounds like I am being a "baby" , but i am worried what I am doing wrong. I am slowly adding mushy solids trying to maintain my Protein. I do weight every day I am sure that is not a good idea. Anybody further out from me have any words of wisdom??

What type of surgery did you have? I will be having the sleeve on this friday. What was the reason you had the surgery/ I am having due to health reasons. I am 33 with 3 active kids and I want to be more in their lives. I have family history of type 2 diabeties. I currently have high blood pressure and high cholesterol What was your chief complaint that resulted in the surgery? do not have one at this time because I am pre op the pre op liquid diet sucks!! I would like a tastless protien if there is one. How ever, if there is not what is the best?? As for vitiamins what is the best?? When you first get on of surgery can you take prescribed pills or do they have to be in liquid form?? Help I know nothing I want quick results. My brother gets married in the end of October and I want o have a thinner face in the pics

Congrats I got approved this week as well..... I am scheduled for the 29th!! I am so excited and am also worried about my recovery. My kids return to school the first part of August so I need to get them ready..Anyone responding how quickly can you start exercising and lifting weights??

Ok the doctor sent my packet to cigna Friday. What is the normal response time?? I am very excited but very scared to that I want be turned down. Please let me know what to expect......

It was submitted Friday it is waiting nurse approval then going to doctor approval. hoping to find out before weeks end. i and having my surgery 2 1/2 hours from my home. I will be there next week for my sons ball tournament i really need to get that approval. i wish you luck hoping for the end of the month.. Who is doing your surgery??

I have my first visit with a surgeon on the 15th. What should I start taking to prepare my body for this?? I have started the 6mth thing with my PCP. I am worried about my hair and skin. Is there any thing I should be taking??

I have started the process! I made appt. with Dr. Chung in Lake Charles LA on Feb. 16th. Please let me know if you have used him and what is the process with him. What do I need to bring to my first appt?? I also went to my primary doctor this afternoon. I told him about Cigna 6mth weightloss documentations. He said he has had great success with Cigna without doing the 6mth thing. He said we have been working on weigthloss and I have other weight related health problems. Please let me know what to expect at my first visit. I also want to know if what my Doctor said is true. I want the surgery yesterday!! Please let me know.

I have three children. This is our busiest time of the year. All three play travel Baseball/softball. We have more one than practice every night and tournaments on the weekends. My husband can help out hauling kids for a week or two but not alot more beyond that. I am going to see a surgeon tomorrow to schedule my surgery (hopefully) Should I do it during this time of the year with my crazy schedule or should I wait until my life slows down. I am the mom that goes to every practice and every game.Please help I am starting the Mom guilt.

I am struggling with what to do. I have a BMI of 40.5 and have CIGNA if I do the six month diet and lose weight I know I will not be able to get approved for the surgery. Then I will in a few month be back above the 40 BMI. Thus the cycle will start again. Or I might get approved anyway I am not sure how it all works but then I will still be 6mths or more out. I a so ready to start my weightloss journey, Should I self pay??? Please give me your opinion!

I am also new to the process. I like you considered the lap band. The more I researched the lap band vs. sleeve I realized the sleeve was right for me. I am going to see one surgeon on Feb.15 and then another one on Feb.16. Hope all goes well for you..Sending you lots of support from Baton Rouge Louisiana..
