My doctor said no booze for the full week b4 surgery. Might thin out the blood to much. -
Doug, I also am in Albuquerque. I was banded 1/16/07 in Dallas. Flying back over tomorrow for my first fill. Over and back same day. My fills for the first year are included with origional payment. Hi, Just an update on my progress. I was banded 01/16 in dallas by Dr Felts at the Richardson surgery Center. The last week has been stronger hunger by the day. Sticking with the Isopure drink am, then bowl of soup afternoon. Usually a sugar free popsicle and yougart in the evening. I'm flying to Dallas Thurs. for an appoinment for a fill. Pre-op 270/day of banding 247/ current 229. Hopefully this fill will curb the appetite. Regards, Steve

I was banded 1/16 in Dallas. One week post op and feeling good about the decision. 270/242/175. Last week of liquids was a challege. I had my first mushy food last night. About 1/2 cup of oatmeal. Felt like Thanksgiving. Back to the liquids today, I'm afraid of messing this thing up. More later, Steve

Hi Melissa, There are many competent doctors in the DFW area. Perhaps by explaining that you are a self pay, and a two for one package. they may cut you a deal. -
Hard Time With Pre Op Diet

My Dr. said two weeks pre-op diet was to lessen the fst around the liver and stomach in order to make the surgery go as best as possible. Sugar free popsiles and sugar free jello pudding saved me during the day. Tipapia fillet at night with a green steamed veggie for dinner. Hang in there. After the surgery you won't be as hungry. ISOPURE protein drink

Hi, I too am a big fan of Isopure. Got mine at GNC in the powder form. Mixes well with water or skim milk in the blender. 30grams of protein per scoop! Not gritty, and no noticable aftertaste. Vanilla is my favorite flavor. Regards, Steve
