Well I haven't been on the site in a while but I thought I would get on and update my stats. I had surgery on March 12th and have a 14 cc band and I have had 4 fills for a total of 8 cc. I now feel like I am in control and losing weight like we are supposed to. I don't go back to the Dr. until late Sept. Good luck to everyone.

I was banded on March 12, 2012 and just went in for my second fill. I have a 13cc band and so far have 7cc put in. I can sure tell the difference with the second fill. So far I have lost 24 lbs and feel I should have lost more. The Dr. told me to be patient that the weight will come off and so far I am doing great. Go back for my third fill on June 7th.

I have. I just mentioned that to my Husband yesterday.

Hi All, I am now 11 days post surgery. I feel very fortunate that my surgery went so well. They kept me overnight because my oxygen level was low and sent me home with the oxygen. Went to the Dr. today and found that I lost 17 lbs since pre op so far and my oxygen level is back to normal and I am released from the 50 ft hose that I have been toting around the house. I am on soft food and have tolerated all that I have eaten very well. I still find it hard to get all my protein and liquid in. Other than that I feel fine. I hope eveyone's surgery and recovery goes as well as mine did. Lori

A little off topic ~~ How do you get the weight ticker on your profile?

I had Dr, Snyder as my surgeon this past Monday. I can't find words to tell you how wonderful heis. I had no pre-op diet, and have not had any gas pains and have not used any of the narctiocs that he had given me. I would higly recommend him.

Well I had my surgery on Monday. I was there by 7:30 and actually went to the OR at 1 PM. Talk about anexity Everything well and brcause of the late surgery caued me to stay overnight. Today they couldn't get my oxygen up high enough so I am now at home with a portable oxygem unit. I have had very little pain and have not have anything for the pain since 6 this morning. I do feel an ache but even gas is minimal.

Well only 2 more day before I am banded. The doctor I have does not require a pre-op diet. Just a clear liquid diet the day before surgery. I have been on this journey since August of last year, jumping through all kinds of hoops for the insurance. Monday morning can't come soon enough for me to start my new journey. I am having lapband surgery on the 28th. and would like to connet with someone in the Denver area.

Hi All, I was to be banded on Feb. 28th but had to reschedule due to a bad case of bronchitis. My new date is March 12th in Denver with Dr. Synder. I live in the Denver area and my insurance is covering the surgery. Dr. Synder is great and doesn't require a pre-op diet. Anyone else with Dr. Synder in the Denver area? Lori

Well it's confirmed surgery on the 28th has been cancelled. I have a terrible case of Bronchitis. Rescheduled for March 12th Very Disappointed

Well my surgery is scheduled for Feb. 28th with pre-op this Wednesday. Over the weekend I came down with this god awful cough. So I am going to my PCP today to see if he can "cure" me by Wednesday or I'll bet surgery will be delayed. I really enjoy reading the posts here and wish everyone the best of luck. Lori
