Sure send me your email, I will scan and send to you. I wish her good luck and hope for myself as well. I have really appreciated your messages and your success with the sleeve and congratulations on your pregnancy. My kids are grown and just got married last year so soon I may be on the YOUNG grandma side too. No rush though because I am a young 45 yr old.

I am on Tricare Prime Remote and our policy states that it will be covered. It does not say I have to go to a military hospital, I will have to check further for that but this is my secondary as I have Aetna Primary which covers it to. My first consult appt is tomorrow so will find out more then too.

Glad to hear she is glad that she did it! She will get stronger by the day! Take Care and Thanks for updating. I meet with my Dr. for the first consultation this Friday. Tell her I wish I was in her shoes right now! Pain and all.

Hope you are recovering well! Praying for you! Still looking forward to hearing how you are doing.

Hello, My family have had horses for years. Our daughter competed in high school rodeo and NBHA. My husband ropes and my son and I ride for pleasure. We have 13 total, 2 of which are stallions and 1 gelding the rest you guessed are mares. We train and sell performance quarter horses. Have been very busy so training has slowed somewhat. I still ride occasionally but only with our bigger horses. I can't wait to get riding after my surgery!

Praying for you that all goes well and you will be feeling good during recovery. Looking forward to any and all updates from you! You are definately a loser for sure now!

Where have all the cowboys gone?
Texasgrl replied to Bandme1's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Thanks for the suggestion and OMG does that sound REALLY Good but I am also getting off carbonation drinks also carbonation is bad for womens bones. It depletes the Calcium. So now that my taste buds are longing for Diet Coke, I have to decline. BUMMER!>!>!> -
Great advice, I have Aetna too and Tricare secondary which both cover after reading their policies. My 1st consult July 15th and that will be the day I want them to send the precert in. I will keep track of it from there. Thanks for the ADVICE!

Where have all the cowboys gone?
Texasgrl replied to Bandme1's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I am on my fourth day SOBER from a Diet Coke addiction, just ask my family, they know I was addicted, Making the appointment to have surgery is the only thing that motivated me enough to kick and go cold turkey, the first week I cut down then went cold turkey. I have unbelievable headaches that I am chasing with ibuprophen and drinking excessive Water that equaled what I drank in diet coke a day. I have heartburn, an emt told me my body was so used to have diet coke by the hour with so much carbonated acid the stomach made more acid to digest it. I am waiting for that to subside now that I am not drinking carvonated drinks and boy do I miss them. I can tell other side effects such as my nose/sinus are not dry anymore, and my digestive track changes too, did not know I was going to go through all this but glad I am on the road to clean my system of diet coke, so I am ready for surgery when it finally comes. This road is not nice but is going smoother than I thought it would. KUDOS to anyone else who is withdrawing too. -

Congratulations! How long did your process take from start to approval and being scheduled? -
There was a suggestion given that anyone before surgery make a list of 12 reasons why you were choosing to do this, they then suggested to take this list out and read it during the few days of recovery. If you have not made a list, make one now, it will be harder to think positive but reach deep inside and look at your past and what made you make this change. You all before me can do this, you are through it now, so stick you your guns and give it your best! I hope to be behind you really soon! Mine is not coming soon enough, but I want to encourage those of you fortunate to already have had the surgery and are on the road better health and to be thinner and enjoy life. It will come! God Bless I say a prayer that you will get through the next few days!

I am new to this site and just getting started with this entire process. I have been to several seminars and the latest was June 21st. I have decided I want the sleeve, called and made an appointment for the first consultation. I want to submit my medical records to Aetna and Tricare. Has anyone been approved and did not have to go through a 3 month or 6 month pre-diet or other requirement? I read my policies last night and both the Aetna and Tricare I have cover the procedure.
