My mom is judgmental and has no idea I am banded and never will. I am learning to set limits with her and stick to my guns, only taken me 35 years; but I am doing it. I am not turning to food when she upsets me, like I did of years past.

I am in IL as well and was banded in June. We can talk as well. I want to lose about 100 or so-ish pounds and at the rate I am going it is going to take a LONG time.

Chipotle, I miss it very much. I am craving it very bad, the rice and the beef; but I imagine my high Protein chocolate milk as chiptole and it helps. I used to eat the burrito bowl 2-4 times a week. yeah it was that bad of an obsession for me. I haven't had any in almost 2 months. I can't eat solid or chopped food yet-still in the full liquid stage and i am hungry but yet having a hard time getting all the protein and fluids in me.

My husband knows and my mother in law and my closet friend and that is it. Everyone else knows I had surgery because I was out of it for a few days and I told them i had emergency surgery. My family is very critical and judgmental of me. between my parents and my siblings, i am the fattest one. Losing weight does not come easy for me at all. I have struggled all my life and I don't want to be lectured about this being the easy way out and I am taking an easy way out. Will I tell them eventually? Who knows. Time will tell, but right now, I am keeping it all a secret.

Good Luck Crash. I barely lost any weight on the liquid only diet, but my liver was small according to the doctor. Right now I am having a hard time eating, I was banded on June 29th. It is a learning process, you will make mistakes; but you will learn.

Hi I am from IL as well. I had my lapband on June 29th, the first day afterwards were very hard for me to eat. I called the doc and he said that the inflammation and irritation might not make me hungry, but try to try to get the Protein drinks in me for nutrition and liquids. I wish you luck!

I am 5 days post-op and I am on full liquids. I have protein shakes, cream soup, popsicles, crystal light, high protein pudding and high protein milk, and high protein carnation instant breakfasts.

I have the wii fit and I love it, I am thinking of getting the Zumba as well and maybe doing some real life zumba once I am skinnier. I have a real issue going out in public to excerise. It is my own head issue.

Hi. I am a 34 year old mom of 2 kids and getting banded on June 29th, I am having my surgery at Central DuPage in Winfield. I hate the pre-op liquid diet, but I am doing it. I am nervous not about the surgery but about my life after surgery. I have to wrap my mind around being a thinner person. Anyway, hi everyone.

I hate the protein shakes. I was told to get the Bariatric advantage and OMG, I keep chanting the end is near, the end is near......of protein shakes that is.

I am being banded on the 29th and my husband is like you look good enough to me, why are you doing this? Good Luck everyone, I am very scared.
