I am about to be 27 years old and I never thought I would see 200lbs. I have been to a consultation for the Lap Band once before about 1yr and 1/2 ago and I was not able to do it because I did not meet the requirements. At the time I was weighing in at 190 and I left telling myself that I am fine I can do it on my own and I will never see 200. Well here I am a year later and I am at 200 lbs. This past year I lost 17lbs on another weight loss program and I gain it all back plus more. 
I am schdule for my surgery on the 15th of July and I jump right into it. I really did not do deep research because everything I research, the same postive facts would come up with the little risk. So I thought great I can do this. Now I am at the stage where I am telling my family and friends and they are telling me of people they know that have had the procedure done in the past and there stories. I hear stories of they got really sick after they got there band tighten. One women had a problem with my surgery location Strax Rejuvenation, she said that her band turned inside out and that they did nothing to help her. THAT REALLY SCARED ME. I have already finaniced the surgery and have a date set but now I am scared thinking something might happen to me. You do not see these stories anywhere and my concern is did I choose the right location, the right doctor am I moving to fast. 
I hope that some one could have some insite for me. I mean I am pretty much suck but I guess I am looking for reassurance that I am making a positive change in my life for the better.
