I agree that everyone is different and heals just fine.
I had my surgery on 10/6. I went back to work on 10/14 thinking that I was fine. Now I have a desk job, but after 2 hours I found I was having trouble concentrating. I ended up going home after 4 hours. The next day I worked 6 hours...after that I was back to full hours.
I'm 2 weeks post-op. I had those spasms for what seemed like the entire first week. Now I just get them occasionally and there is no pain associated with them anymore. Hang in there!
I'm just shy of two weeks out and I know what you are talking about!! I get that same feeling. I thought maybe it was just spasms, but it does go away after I put something in the "tank". It's not painful or bothersome, but I do notice it.
You are lucky! For my pre-op diet it was shakes and Protein bars ONLY! I don't think I've ever been so hungry!!! But I'm 8 days post-op now, down 24.5 pounds and it was ALL WORTH IT!!
Keep your eye on the prize!! That helps make it do-able!!!
I'm just one week post op. For most of this week my stomach was embarrassingly loud!!! My husband even woke me up in the night once to ask if I was ok because my tummy wouldn't hush!!
Some days I had all kinds of trouble getting liquids down. Other days did just fine. Take it day by day as you and your body are trying to figure out the "new system".
Congrats on being Post Op!
