The last month or so I have been waking up coughing and sometimes having to throw up. I cant eat much and am forced back to almost all liquid. I am afraid my band may have slipped and dont want to get the fluid out since I know I will definetly put weight back on. I have come to far to go back. Question, a girl at my work was banded at the same place I was and said the same thing happened to her and they told her to back on liquids for about 2 weeks. I have been reading on this forum that allot of people having similar symptoms bought otc meds for acid relfux and it helped. Can anyone give me any advise, especially if you have suffered with the same thing. I cant afford to go back right now for a barium swallow since Im not on the plan anymore and they charge $125. for the visit. thank you all

I have a question, has anyone tried Nutrisystem since being banded. I 1 and 1/2 years out and Costco has a sale going right now so I was thinking about trying it. Any imput would be appreciate. thank you all

They have hired more staff so you shouldnt have any problems now, but check with them when you go for your post op. Good luck, keep us posted

/I too have a problem with getting enough protein in, they gave me a print in on my last fill that shows what foods have alot of protein, ask them for one when your in next time. Let me know how your next apt goes. take care

Sorry it took so long to reply had allot going on, I had a problem and had to have some fluid removed so now Im going back in monthly to hae it refilled. Right now I put on 15 lbs in 2 months so I got some work ahead of me, how are you doing?

Ok gays and guys lets get updates from everyone. I know that we have tried to get a meeting set up somewhere in between us all since we seem to be spread out, not sure how it went. That was a smart idea, this is really disapointing to have to wait so long between fills. Try calling corp, Im going to today. If your just starting you should be getting fills every 3 to 4 weeks, thats what I did. good luck

I had to get 3 cc's taken out in may due to problems and my apt to start getting it put back is on July 25th. took me 2 months too. this sucks

I lost almost 80 lbs and all I can see is the brown scare from it.

Everyone is definetly different. In the morning all I can do is drink my coffee, I dont get hunger pains for at least 3 hours after waking up. Then I can only manager either 1 egg and a piece of toast or a small bowl of oatmeal. You probably wont be able to eat both an egg and oatmeal, but you will learn your own body on what you can and cannot eat. Some days I can do a little rice, the next day up it comes. The key will be to listen to your band and it will tell you yes or no. Good luck.

LIke the above poster I too cannot eat breakfast anymore since getting the band except I do have my coffee. It takes me a good 3 to 4 hours after waking up to even start getting any type of hunger pains, then I have either 1 egg and a piece of toast or a bowl of oatmeal, but that I cant eat the whole bowl. Some people drink fruit smoothies or a protein drink too.

miralax is not really a laxative, it only draws water into the bowels. It should tell you on the package \

HI all, I used to drink the protein shakes from costco but unfortunaly they have milk and I just found out I need to say away from it, I can do soy though. Any suggestions would be appreciated. thank you all

Yea insurance can be a stickler, I was a cash pay and I consulted on a tues and surgery was the following thursday. Good luck

This has been a heavly debated topic, at true results we were told soda is ok, within moderation. Some will tell you no. But I do drink no more than 2 a week. No damage to my band yet. But then its a personal preferance, check with your doctor. Good luck

This really sucks, I was just diagnosed with gastroparesis. They put me on Regalan but I am still throwing up after every meal, and I cannot eat much to begin with. I have lost 13 lbs this month alone. Im so upset. Anyone else have this problem?
