When I checked into it I was told that I have to maintain my weight for at least a year so the surgery is not in vain. But that may have just been the ones I checked out. Good luck and let us know what you find out. -

I wish it was that simple, its where your stomach cannot process the food and you end up throwing everything up, its way different than being stuck. -

Thank you, Im a definetly not knocking the lap band. I did a lot of research, and unfortunatly this does happen sometimes to lap band patients. nothing to do with the doctor, just an unfortunate side effedect but I didnt see anything in my post about knocking it? -

For over a month now I could not keep anything down, it is different than being stuck. I was throwing everything up. Lost 14 lbs in 1 month. Had sever stomach cramps too. -

Unfortunatly it has happened to me too. It is misrable and has to pass. Some people have suggested papaya juice. Good luck -

Has anyone had this unfortunate experience since being banded? I got it this past monday and right now almost everything I am eating hurts my stomach, with the exception of saltine crackers. I have heard it can take up to 5 days to recovery. Any help would be appreciated/ -

not only have I donated blood but have gotten more tattoes too. this is all new to me also -
I just had one of those yesterday, loved the small size. even though I chewed and timed my bites it got a little stuck. One thing you have to remeember is rice swells up so make sure you take your time and stop as soon as your body tells you enough

I take norco for osteoarthriis (spellng) for my back. I know its not the best for the stomach. I take as needed. -

Agree with above poster, I too took 2 years to go from 283 to 222 so hang in there sista your doing awsome Remember everyone is different. I learned along time ago not to compare myself to others on here when it comes to how much you lose. We are all different. Heck any weight loss is a loss. Good Luck -

I dont know if it was gas but watch for any signs of infection. It has been a whle for me so I dont remember but if your not sure whats going on call them and they will see you asap. -

Your story sounds exactly like mine. The exact thing happened 2 years out. I went in, had a brium swallow. Luckly it had not slipped but some how "kinked up" they took .75 cc's out then in 2 visits a month apart I got it put back. Good luck to you
