I had lap band surgery and really thought it would be an easy fix to my lifetime struggle with my weight. I was so wrong, I was told I wasn' t that big and to go with lap-band instead of gastric. It has been 3 years since my surgery, I originally lost around 40lbs. The place I had it done didn't have any support groups and I had to learn everything through trial and error. My husband and I wanted a 2nd child so we tried for the last 2 years and we just had a little girl 2 months ago. I am back to my pre-op weight and just had my band filled. I feel moments of great hope that this time it will be better and I wanted to join weight watchers just to have a support system and at other times I feel like getting it reversed....like what did I do to myself, I can't eat dinner with my family or eat with friends. Feeling like a social misfit and I guess in general sorry for myself. Will try to stay positive and learn from all of you out there.
