congrats! my surgery date is dec 20th! im on my liquid diet & these shakes are HORRIBLE!!!!! my surgeon approved of 1 shake a day, water all day & a meal at night.

it took me about 8 days. im not exactly sure when the papers were submitted but i believe they were submitted on a tuesday & i got my approval the following week on a wednesday. im scheduled for dec 20th. have patience love! good luck to u

ive never been but i guess some good tips would be, use the bathroom prior to the call so youre not holding it while youre on the phone. take a tylenol or two before so that youre not too tensed and dont work up a headache. maybe write a little speech about how being denied has made you feel and how badly you need this and what being obese is to you physically (dont mention appearance & dont make it too long). have a glass of Water to relax you. dress comfortably so you can relax. and play out scenarios in your head. thats really the only advice i can give you since thats what i would do. good luck to you

my surgery date is set for dec 20th. i wanted to know what was some MUST HAVES on your grocery list post op and what do you eat now that youre post op? i know taste changes some what after surgery but i want to be semi prepared.

i know what you mean! i am not afraid of surgery but i was PETRIFIED of denial. i got approved on wednesday & the news was like hearring someone say u won the lotto. its so surreal. i went to my pre op appt today & im down 7lbs since i started my pre op diet on tuesday. im thankful. surgery is set for dec 20th at 8am.

i decided not to be open about my surgery because people are cruel. and ITS NO ONES BUSINESS! with that being said, only a limited few know. my mom. my brother. my 2 bestfriends. another friend. my ex. a childhood friend & my old hs teacher. my step dad. thats it. sounds like a lot of people but its not when you know hundreds of ppl. everyone else thinks im having surgery for a hernia. lol.

im going to go buy some today & have it with my salad. thanks for the advice! if i like it, ill learn how to make my own!

i absolutely love my dr and his staff. i live closer to lawrence & my grandma died in westchester medical, i could never. but im glad you enjoyed your experience

i know what taste youre talking about. lol. it doesnt bother me too much but its def not my fav! lol. i just cant wait to be sleeved! i dont feel mentally prepared whatsoever but i feel that no one really is... im scared about foods cuz ima very picky eater but im diving HEAD 1st & gonna deal with what comes after. scary stuff but i know if i dont do it now, ill never do it.

giiiiiiiiiiiiiiiirl, i wish! lol. im doing more of a crash diet since its only 2 weeks. im having 1-2 shakes a day, water all day & a salad at night. itll be a while before surgery. 11 days (since its after midnight). the days would pass so much faster if i werent dieting. im hungry right now but im fighting it!!! lol. may god be with me!
