im afraid to try any Protein out of fear that im going to just throw up. just the word protein makes me sick! i have muscle milk sitting in my fridge & unjury that i havent tried cuz im scared to throw up. i threw up one time & that pain is unlike any other!!!! its depressing but im trying to keep focused

just dive head first! thats what i did. i didnt have much pain in the hospital. it was more soreness. you will be shocked on how quick you are up & moving! dont be afraid. its not that bad. its not easy after but managable but dont worry about that til u cross that bridge!!!

good luck!!! i was sleeved dec 20th. in my experience so far, its not easy! im praying that itsworth it at the end. i figured out a way to get out of bed by myself without much pain. my incisions still hurt. i wish i could fast fwd this part. i hold liquids down ok. Protein shakes make mesick so i havent had any... SUPPORT is needed! u need ppl supporting you, not just virtual. i fell into a depression because most of my friends went mia all of a sudden, holidays, surgery, ex boyfriend, everything! itshard but im coping!!! i dont regret my decision as of yet but i do wish i wouldve waited a few weeks so that the holidays wouldnt feel how they do. other than that, all is well. after surgery, i felt no pain! only a severe dry mouth that wouldnt go away. a sore throat that didnt hurt that bad & thats it!

we buy ours from a lady in bronx ny! they aredelicious. we buy them by the dozen and we even sell them for more!

r we able to eat ketchup cuz i looooove drenching my pasteles in it. my mommy says i kill the taste to the pastele pero what does she know lol

ok this hasscared the daylights out of me!!! lol. im supposed to start mushies next week (i think) but since im not getting in any Protein & i start work next week, inthought of slipping in a little apple sauce in here and there. the shakes just are so gross ;(

i didnt see a message but i will check again!! let me say that you DEFINITELY need support. i never understood it until now. the holidays definitely didnt help & his actions during this vulnerable time makes things worse but im going to pull up my big girl panties & deal with it!

congrats!!!!! i know what you mean. wiping my backside is not easy but some how, i manage! i was sleeved the day after you. i havent weighed myself yet but im going to wait to see how much i weigh at my first post op appt. the pain is still there but im so over it! i wish i had a remote control for life to fast fwd to a month from now where i can eat foods (so i could get in protein) & i wont have much pain & i will be able to be more active. everyday does get better but i just wish i didnt feel so stuck.
