its funny u should say that because yesterday while eating & drinking, i felt the pain creeping up like itll feel stuck but i still kept drinking & drinking thinking it would stop until it felt really stuck & i was tapping my leg on the floor trying to hide the pain in my facial expression. its not so much of a pain but its likeextreme discomfort. i stopped drinking Water after that!!!! lol

i know its a lot to read but i had posted that im doing so much better, thank god! im not dehydrated.. & wasnt. it was lack of food. i feel so much better

oh man.... i know the feeling! how far out are you? maybe youre eating too fast? or too much? i always eat too fast & the pain lately has been no joke but im coping! once i began eating more meals through out the day & snacking in between, i literally did a 180 over night! i eat about 3-7meals a day (including all the snacking). i still dont think i can run on an eliptical but i think i could do a treadmill! i think im going to start on a sit down bike though. i dont tolerate shakes so im not getting enough Protein but i am getting enough or more calories. im down a jean size. i dont know how much ive lost.

i thought i was supposed to start solids at 4weeks but found out that its more 5-6weeks. oooops? but it sits well in my sleeve. the nachos pratically melted in my mouth & was mush before swallowing. today i thought i was cool... i ate mozerella cheese & took some sips of Water right after. it didnt bother until i started taking gulps and more gulps until i was almost guzzling. BAD MOVE!!!! it was stuck. took about 3mins to finally go down.

im not dehydrated but ill keep that in mind for future references

today i went to the movies & i had nachos. i saw that i never gained that full feeling and i ate more than 1/2. after like 30-40mins, i got nauseous though. i think it was waaaay too much salt. i tried drinking water & took a gas x chewable (i was sitting in the movies & it was all i had on me) hoping to feel better. the feeling passed after about 20mins. thank god i didnt try the butter popcorn. :/ lol

i really wanted to make this thread because a lot of people talk about how much they love their sleeve and how great it is & etc. not everyone truly feels that way, atleast not right away. i had hope that i would feel better which is why my thread says "so far". im glad that im feeling better. i have more energy but still not 100%. i am still very gassy but im coping!! i do feel normal. i dont weigh myself because at this point, im worried about being 100% or as close to it as possible.. im not worried about how the scale is moving. yes i am losing weight & i see it in my appearance & clothes. once i get all my energy back, i will start hitting the gym & checking my weight to see where i stand. good luck to you guys who are about to get sleeved.

lol i thought thesamething preop but now that im post op, im a little jealous! it was asports restaurant (buffalo wild wings) & everyone was downing beers (UFC FIGHT NIGHT) and were screaming & eating wings! i was sitting there looking over everything on the menu! i even got jealous cuz i couldnt drink soda! i was sipping on my Water but very little because i knew i was about to eat. i truly miss eating & drinking. some ppl can do it (i think u have to keep doing it and just get used to it) & i think its a habit that i may want to participate in. lol. one day i will gain the balls to try & eat & drink at thesametime. i know unlike others, i can drink and then eat right after. a lot of ppl experience pain if they do so. i can also drink within 10mins of finishing eating when others have to wait a hr or they experience pain. i can also finish my food within 10mins where others have to eat slower or they experience pain. i think my sleeve is weird! lol. i wanted my sleeve so i could cut my portions. i ate like a man before! i had no problem downing 5 REGULAR slices (not tiny ones like dominos) with 2 tall glasses of pepsi. i probably wouldnt be able to finish a dominos slice if i wanted to right now. i havent tried bread or anything yet. although im dying to, im going to wait awhile.

i went out to a restaurant today for the first time & i was so scared! my incisions have been hurting for the past few days & i think its because the drop in the weather. today was the first day that i actually went out and i wear tight jeans so it kinda hurt to put on tight jeans and have it pressed against my stomach (but not incisions). im glad to be home & have them off. lol. i wasnt sure what to get. EVERYTHING was fried!!!! i was scared to do fried chicken thinking it would be too heavy on my little sensitive sleeve so i had mozzerella sticks & just chewed it up very well. it came with 6 & i was able to eat 1.5 of them. it sat well i did get a little gas but nothing my gas x chewables couldnt handle. overall, i was happy it sat well. i was looking around and felt so out of place as i watched others eat & drink & scarf food down. i felt kind of jealous but there was no point in crying over spilled milk so i sucked it up & tried to enjoy myself!

i tried mixing it & it made me throw up everything i had in me & more. yuck! but im feeling so much better now since i upped my food intake.

hey kathy! i thank god that i feel better. this whole experience has brought me cloaer to him. im not a very religious person but i do have my own littlerelationship with that man. im still not 100% but i asked for the chance to feel normal again & i feel some what normal. im eating & feel a lot better. no nausea, some gas & thatsabout it. i dont feel i can run a marathon or anything but i can walk around the supermarket without feeling like im going to pass out. i can also look in the mirror without feeling like i look sick! thank god!!! im happy as of now.

i dont sleep atraight through the night either. i wake up a few times during the night but i am used to it. i dont feel the neeed to get out of bed though.

i began eating more. i snack all day long. i try to eat a cracker atleast every hr or 2. i have about 3-4 meals in between that & drink water as much as i can. im not dehydrated but i do need more fluids because im not getting in the asked amount but i do get in enough to where my urine isnt golden brown. its middle/light yellow.

i am truly thankful that i feel better! it was such a gift from god. im relieved & grateful!

GREAT NEWS!!!!! ive been eating & i feel so much better. i snack all day & it keeps the gas gone & i have so much more energy! THANK GOD!!!!! i went from about 10 gas x chewables a day to 2 a day! im not 100% but im a lot better than before. im not dehydrated as i stated before so the IV is not necessary & i went to see my nurse practioner on thursday & she thinks im doing great!!!

im not dizzy or light headed.... i feel weak, thats all like my thighs feel heavy.

im getting in fluids.. thats not the issue. im getting in about 50-100oz a day (depending on the day). im not getting in Protein shakes. i live with my mom. my mom works a full time job & i work as well so im running around during the day & rest in between. as far as friends, i have none supportive enough & i gave up on that. im not feeling dizzy, its more of a faint/weak feeling. climbing stairs feels like i have weights strapped around my ankles.

thank you! im drinking water now & keeping it down. i only feel the faint feeling mostly in my thighs like they are too heavy to move type of thing. i feel ok when im sitting.

i dont have diabetes & im not on pain meds anymore. i also noticed that at night, im constantly waking up during the night. i never sleep straight thru anymore.

it smooths back out.

im getting in gatorade & Water with no problem & food. its only the shakes that make me throw up. and if i eat something im not in the mood for. i just feel nausea.

i think shakes are just completely out of the question now. ive tried several. they all make me run to the bathroom. im drinking & trying to stay hydrated. the gatorade doesnt taste too strong. i think the taste of burping it up is what is turning my stomach. as far as "dieting", im not worried about it. at this point, i can careless about how much i weigh (i never weigh myself). ill eat anything & everything that taste good & will stay down & will make me feel better. i hope i feel better soon. its all i want. i get scared to leave my house because im afraid i might pass out while im out. i chauffer kids around & i literally struggle to get out of bed. i feel ok driving since im sitting down but getting out the car is another story.
