i started on pureed foods at 2.5/3weeks & started eating soft foods at 4weeks

i went to the gi dr since zofran wasnt working for me!!!! he prescribed me with "metoclopramide" 5mg 4x a day. which is also reglan

after feeling great, doing great for the last 2weeks.. i have a friggin leak!!!!!!!!!!!!! dr is admitting me as we speak. im sitting in the ER waiting for a room. ill update u guys on details in a bit

went to the ER today after throwing up so much. they gave me iv & ran test & i did a swallowtest. my stent is in place & everythings flowing thru. they gave me some zofran for nausea. lord help me!!!

unfortunately, this post is pretty old. i now have a leak & am dealing with more severe issues!!!

the stent goes from ur esophagus to ur stomach therefore all the acid in ur stomach just comes up. they have me on omeprazole 2x/day & zofran for nausea.

pain is gone now.. now its acid

i think he shouldve just went back in & fixed it! i dont see why anyone would suggest astent! to top it off, i thought the stent was a pain free procedure & i thought i would have zero effects & would go back to normal. BOY WAS I WRONG

i really wanted him to go back in & fix the issue! i didnt want the stent. they had me do another upper gi series & everything is good. everythings flowing nicely. hes sending me home with meds for nausea.

wow!!!! i can imagine the regret u mustve been feeling!!!!!!!!! wow im so sorry! i cant tolerate shakes so i dont bother. i wanna feel how i felt prior my stent

you r so not lying!!! im in the er now. been throwing up non stop. they finLly gave me some zofran & protonix which seems to be working. i cried & begged god to save me!!!!!!! this is so emotional!!!! i beg to be over thissoon! i want to be normal again! like week 4-5!

they found it 5 weeks out. i was bad week 2-3. i was great week 4-5 except throwing up bile 2x. my insurance covers the bills.

on my way to the ER. :'( when does it end? i read ppl's post saying they are getting surgery or excited about surgery & i want to tell them to RUN!!! dont do it. i feel really bad for them jumping on this train. after this, i wouldnt recommend it to no one!!

woke up at 3am feeling nauseous & not good. by 320, i jumped out of bed & didnt make it to the bathroom in time before i started throwing up bile. thank god i was on my way to the bathroom or it wouldve gotten everywhere! in a few hrs, im going to make my way to the ER. i dont know how much more i can take, seriously!!

the 3oz was more by choice. the feeling is gross but i need to stay hydrated to stay out the hospital :/

they said im doing great & dont need a picc line. im holding down fluids but just was choosing not to drink cuz the acid. i stepped up some of my liquids & im trying to nibble on stuff. hopefully ill keep advancing!

today i thought to myself... first i felt faint. i had no energy & just felt horrible! & i got over it. i was doing GREAT for 2 weeks.. & then they find a leak. i get admitted & was still doing GREAT until they put this stent in me. now im doing horrible. i know ill get better & be relieved that im doing better but then soon after, ill begin losing my beautiful long hair which is my security blanket. lol. like damn, DOES IT EVER END???? dont get me wrong... i knew all the possible complications. i knew what i would be getting myself into but i didnt prepare myself for a possible leak, especially not after doing so good!!! i find it hard to eat & hard to drink. my stomach feels so messed up that i just want to sleep! i know this is a recipe for disaster! in the last 2 days, ive drank about 3oz of Water & thats it. my urine is still light & i guess its from the week of IV but i know soon, its going to go down hill. im praying to god that hehelps me

im aware that it may have been missed which is very true but thats not the case in everyone. only symptom i had post op was throwing up the last 2weeks. i was doing great those 2weeks besidees throwing up 2x. as far as eating & such... with the stent, u can eat & drink & etc. when u have other corrective procedures, u are NPO
