im not sure i wouldve wanted one. my friend who i spoke of before that is having complications and has been in the hospital for the last 6-8weeks... she had a picc line & became even more sick! then the picc line got infected & that landed her in the icu for aweek or so. seeing what shes going thru makes me want to stay far away from that. i wouldve prefered being NPO & just on iv. thankfully & hopefully, im almost reaching the end of this journey! the stent should be coming out in 5 days! if i can just hold on for 5 more days & recover from the removal, i should be back on track! at first i thought WLS would answer all my prayers & improve my life. instead, its done the complete opposite. i miss my life pre-op. i know i cant go back so i need to look fwd but these are just my thoughts.

my dr gave me no orders except stay hydrated

drank some gatorade for my pill... threw it up! :/

hmmmmmm.... i think its my lack of eating & drinking that causes all that saliva. they gave me asuction thing when i had my stent adjusted

ohh.. no i dont seem to have a problem with that.. thankfully!

im not sure but u know what they say... "if it aint broke, dont fix it!" lol. the very very last thing im worried about is gaining weight or eating healthy or watching nutritional facts. i just want to get better!

i think my sleeve likes cold. i need to buy a blender so i can make my own. as far as Protein, i give up! lol. just the thought makes me gag! it would be like putting poop in my drink. i cant do it. lol. i think at the moment, the pain is thrown off when i drink real cold. it goes down smoothlie. also the taste, my mouth has this horribly dry taste yet im spitting every few secs from the excessive saliva!!!

i dont eat anything and barely drank. i doubt the sugar would affect me but even if it did, it needs to! im dropping weight extremely fast from not eating & the constant vomitting. i actually cant tolerate fake sugars. they make me quesy & i dont own a blender as of yet. & the coldness seemed like the best part!! it was like a breath of fresh air. it wasnt too cold where i got a throat freeze or anything. it was actually perfect. now that its done, all the pain & excessive saliva is back.

ha! mine consisted of driving him around the tri-state area looking for cars since his died on him. not a card, not a balloon, not a flower, not a plant, not a valentines day kiss.... nothing. i bought him concert tickets for next month that cost me $200 & he refuses to go so now im trying to sell them. yay!!! happy valentines day :'(

i drank a fruit smoothie from mcdonalds & it did wonders for that empty feeling & excessive spitting but now that its done.. the symptoms are back. FML!!

i think im going to try applesauce. the fruit cups must be too much. the pain while drinking is no good. i had to pull over while driving & get out the car just to get over the pain. i felt like i was going to throw up & i felt so sick. i feel like i needa nap!

i woke up this morning not feeling so great. i began dry heaving something serious. it was soooooooooooo painful to do so. i keep getting random sharp pains. im wondering if the stent has shifted.... :/ it hurts to drink, i wont dare try eating & it hurts to burp.

i ate some fruit from a fruit cup mixed with 100% natural juices & i think its stuck in my stent/stomach. im feeling sick & very uncomfy. the pain keeps coming & going. i keep tryna drink but it feels trapped.

my surgeon called & said ok with feb 20th. now my gi dr better jump on board!!!

i asked about a picc line before and they told me its not needed. i dont know why but i guess they felt that im not dehydrated therefore i can take my meds by mouth. i dont know. but i did want to come & update about my gi dr. CAN YOU GUYS BELIEVE THAT HE HAD THE AUDACITY TO ASK ME TO KEEP THE STENT IN FOR ANOTHER 2 WEEKS AND NOT ONE WEEK??? IF HE WOULDVE BEEN IN FRONT OF ME AND NOT OVER THE PHONE, I WOULDVE PUNCHED HIM RIGHT IN HIS FACE!!!!!!! how dare he!!! this experience has been nothing less than pure hell. i wish my days away which is no way to live! im not suicidal but i now understand why sick & suffering people take their lives!!!! if i thought for one second that this was a lifetime thing & id never be normal again, id be suicidal for sure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i couldnt believe that he wasso inconsiderate to even suggest it to me! if he doesnt remove the piece of $h!+ by feb 20th, ill find another dr who will!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i really dont have much support. its why i come on here & describe all things in detail. also because i know one day UNFORTUNATELY, there will be someone just like me who will be suffering from all the things or some of the things that im going thru. i know i search all the time for keywords to see who is going thru what just like me! i just pray that someone wouldnt be as uncomfortable & sick

yeah i think the food irritates me at this point especially cuz the inside of a stent is like a fence & food gets trapped. i seen it for myself in the pics they gave me.

thank u!!! i appreciate all the help & have tried most/all suggestions since i do want to get better. ive always been a severely picky eater & my sleeve has made it so much worse! now this stent has even added to it. im surprised i can tolerate Water lol.

i totally give up on shakes guys so dont even bother suggesting any. ive tried so many, so many brands & flavors & i dont have the stomach to try anymore. i been drinking shakes for years & they just make me absolutely sick now. i didnt know i couldnt tolerate shakes anymore until my pre-op diet. had i known way ahead, i wouldve never had WLS but by then, it was too late. i wasnt going to turn myself away. i shouldve though because look where i am now! :'( i woke up with a horrible dry mouth which is shocking because usually im spitting every 3 seconds. i went to get some gatorade (i wanted flavor) & boy was that a mistake. i drank 1/5 of a cup of it & began throwing it back up & even threw up a piece of fruit from the fruit cup from yesterday. for those of u who dont know, the inside of astent is like afence so i guess i have food stuck in it & its coming up when i throw up. i didnt throw up all day sunday. (sighs)

i dont like crystal light either. i tried mixing them though & it was the first time i ever threw up after having the sleeve. i threw up the entire day from 2sips!

i had them & they make me absolutely sick! i dont bother with protein shakes anymore. i cant tolerate them. ive tried different brands, flavors, non flavored, soup flavored, tried it all. i give up!

i dont have an abcess and they are not sure if the leak is healed so they are waiting until the 4th week to remove the stent.

those drinks absolutely make me sick!!!!! omg yuck :/

it sucks horribly!!! but thank you very much. i have another thread "i definitely regret surgery..... so far" in the "tell your story" part of this site. i post often there
