Walking is the best thing you can do, you can also try gasx. I had most of my gas in my shoulder so I would also use a heating pad. It does get better everyday -

Yes it is. That was one of the hardest thing to do but you need to keep remind yourself why you did this & know that it's only for 3 wks and it will be so worth it as you see your weight come down. I'm 7wks post op & feeling great. Just know it will get better:) Ps the hunger you are feeling is most likely gas. -
I'm over a week post op & I just posted this past weekend about how I just want to cry because YES I just wanted to eat. Drinking the shakes get so plaided out! In the beginning it wasn't so bad cause you are in the healing process, but as you start to feel better you start to want it more. But here I am almost almost 1/2 a week left. We have to remind ourselves that it temporary, not forever. I also enjoying seeing the # on the scale decrease so that helps ms as well. Best of luck to you:)

Thank you all so much! I'm feeling better. I think it's the weekend that's always harder, but I'm happy that I have less then a week left. Yay:)

I'm 1 week 3 days post op. I'm now on the 2 wks of drinking 3 protein shakes a day. I've been ok for the most, but @ times I just want to cry knowing I still have another week before moving on to semi soft foods! The only thing that keeps me going is that the scale continues to go down in numbers:) and that this is temporary (thank goodness). As my friends & family are very supportive, they have no idea how truley difficult this is, so I just needed to vent to those who can relate. Thanks for hearing me out

All went good! I'm 3 days post op. Everyday I feel better, just a bit tired. I was lucky and didn't need any pain meds. Had some uncomfortable gas pockets in my shoulder, but the walking help. I definitely glad that I got passed that hurdle, now I know for the real hard work! Wishing everyone the best!

I know exactly how you feel! I'm 3days post op & on clear liquids. Then after tomorrow I will be on protein shakes for 2 weeks before moving on to mushie or soft foods, & boy I cannot wait!! But I keep saying to myself, it's not forever & it will all be worth it in the end:)

I also just got banded yesterday! I'm also feeling sore with a little bit if gas, but no huge complaints.

I can't believe that tomorrow is almost here & I will be having my surgery! It was less then 3 months ago when I made the decision on doing this & attend the seminar. I'm so excited! It's funny that I'm pretty ok tonight & not freaking out. Feeling like I'm so ready for this.

I found my vitamins & calcium chewables on vitacost.com at a really good price.

That's my date as well! Scared as well as excited! Good luck to you:)

So I started this journey on June 14th when I went to the seminar. I'm now all done with all testing & on Monday I will be meeting with the doctor for surgery consultation & get a date! I can't believe that time has come & knowing an actually date kind of scares me. But I believe that I'm so ready for this:)
