One week post-surgery---starting to feel really good, diet is going very well, and I've lost 30 pounds!

Post-surgery, doing great, walking around, doing fine with clear liquids and will go to soft foods in the am!

Howdy Rob! I hope your surgery went well. I had nausea tat was really bad and me feel like I needed to throw up. The pain is not to terribly bad (especially when I consider the nasusea!) Any way drop me a line if you want to compare notes - since apprently we are sleeve brothers today LOL!!

Finished with pre-op stuff, now it's the dreaded 3-day clear liquid diet. I figure by Monday I'll have the temperment of a Grizzly bear.

Congrats on getting through the surgery AND on the weight loss! Wow, you must be feeling the difference already! Starting a three-day clear liquid diet tomorrow (pre-op)...not looking forward to that, but otherwise I'm very excited to begin the journey. Hi, Abby. I am new to the forum today---my surgery is next Tuesday (6/28/2011). I have about the same amount to lose that you do...maybe a bit more. I am 6' 3" 386, and want to get down to around 215. I'll be interested to follow your progress. I wish you well! Take care, Rob G

Hello, everyone...obviously, I am new here. My VSG surgery is scheduled for next Tuesday (6/28/2011). Not sure how it works around here, though I am sure I will figure that out over the next few months. Like everyone, I'm sure, I really want to find a place where I can learn from people who have experienced the same type of thing (at various stages along the life journey)! So, if anyone reads this, please feel free to reach out! I started blogging back in February, thinking I was going to (once again) get on top of this weight situation. Of course, I fizzled. But I decided to pick up the blogging again---I'd like to chronicle this rebirth; the new VSG journey on which I am embarking.
