I can relate. I was a 46DDD , now I'm a 42D and I'm only 7 months out from surgery. I see a breast lift in the near future. Sent from my iPad using VST

I absolutely love chips. I've come to the realization that I can not give them up. My alternative to greasy chips are the baked lays , low fat wheat thins, mini rice cakes (Thai chili) and whole wheat crackers. Everything is done in moderation and I don't feel guilty.

Hair Loss-Why Doesn't Anyone Talk About It?
Libraldy8 replied to buckeyefan1985's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I'm almost 6 months out and started noticing hair loss a few weeks ago. Honestly , it freaked me out a little cause it was a bit of a security blanket for me. Now that I've lost a significant amount of weight I'm okay with it. It WILL grow back and I'm the only one that notices the hair loss. If losing a little bit of hair is the trade off to being fit and trim I'll have WLS over and over again. I've increased my Protein shake as I was slacking in this area, also take Biotin , Multivitamin , b12 and Calcium pills. Don't let hair loss be your deciding factor to not having surgery. Life is so good when your weight is no longer an issue. -
I'm 4 months almost 5 months out and still can't eat apples. Try peeling the apple may have an easier time getting it down.

How Long B/f Going Back To Work?
Libraldy8 replied to ampage1's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was sleeved on 12/8/11 and will return back to work on 1/3/12. I needed that third week as I was extremely sore. Feeling good with lots of energy. -
Happy my prayers are with your friend. 3weeks out and feeling good. I, too , am still drinking protein shakes to supplement some meals. Currently eating: baked Talipia , couscous(whole wheat) , grits, yogurt, sugar free Popsicles, eggs scrambled w/ cheese, cheese sticks, chicken (dark meat), soups. I cheated at least twice and I really don't feel guilty. I have hit that third week stall but I also was not consistent with going to the gym. I'm back on track and that's all that matters. My advice : Don't beat yourself up for cheating. Really, how much damage are you doing if we can't get more than 3 oz in at a time. Continued success in 2012 December sleevers. HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

I've been open with many of my colleagues from day one. Many have seen me struggle with my weight over the years. All have been very supportive and very encouraging from the start. I even had a couple of colleagues come up to me to reveal they too had WLS. . While its no one business I believe in being honest. Besides, I may help someone who is on the fence with getting WLS .

Hello All, was released from the hospital yesterday morning (3 day stay). Started on my liquid regimen and boy is it tough. Manged to get 40 grams of protein in thanks to unjury (delicious ), and about 44 ounces of other liquids (diluted apple juice and water) the unjury was mixed with 1% milk. takes me about 2hrs to drink an 8 ounce protein shake. Today I had a creamy soup mixed with a half packet of unflavored unjury. Not bad but could tell I had one too many spoonfuls. Ugh. Tummy is tight. Your sleeve will let you know when it's full. Far as pain I haven't had any. Lots of soreness but that's it. Was off pain meds second day in hospital. Besides, they only constipate you more My prayers are with the remaining Dec sleevers. Loving my sleeve (thus far) ????

Hello Dec sleevers, I was sleeved on the 8th. Today I started my clear fluids , finally. This journey hasn't been bad thus far. Had no pain medication yesterday or today. The only annoying thing is that my IV's don't seem to stay in position.. The nurses at the university of Penn are great. Should be coming home tomorrow. Yippie! Oh! A little nausea but nothing major. #finally on the losers bench
