I had my lapband placed in September of 2011. It is NOT working for me and has to come out!! I was just going to get the band out with no conversion to the sleeve. I put a lot of thought into this and am now scheduled to have my band out and the sleeve done on July 16, 2012. My insurance is paying for this and did not have any trouble getting approval for this. I am a registered nurse on a busy laborand delivery floor. I will be taking 6 weeks off after surgery. I am married and have been to a wonderful man for 12 years and we have two boys who are 5 and 7. He is so very supportive of me and takes such great care of me. I am so blessed to have is him, my family and my friends.

I need to lose about 115 pounds. That sounds so overwhelming but I want to live a long healthy life with my kids. I don't have much energy these days and my kids deserve better.. I deserve better! I am excited about this journey as well...
