Hope you are ok. I heard a gentleman messed up and ate a chicken sample from Sam's Club and it caused him to be sick. He was to ashamed to tell his Dr and by the time his family got him to hospital he didn't make it because it caused his staples to leak I get the chicken and stars and drain them. I like the broth better. sugar free popsicles. Sugar free fudgesicle. Jello. Take it slow. Be careful. Didn't want to scare you but I don't think they stress enough the importance of following the after surgery rules. Sent from my SM-N900V using BariatricPal mobile app

I'm going through this now. I hope to have the band removed this month. I will have to wait 6 months for full healing before moving on to the sleeve surgery. Lots of people I have talked to have done this. Sent from my SM-N900V using the BariatricPal App

was banded on Halloween and well had a fill of 2 ccs on Dec. 5th. I have not lost since the fill. I have lost about 20 lbs since the surgery but not this past month. I'm in panic depressed mode to not see a movement on the scale. anyone else had this happen? I go for another fill on Jan 12th. Not much longer now. I am finding myself really getting down this past week. Is this normal?

I went for over 2 years without one. Was going to be given meds (which I had taken before to induce one, I absolutely did NOT want that as they made me not even like myself) A month before I was to take the medicine, I had a period. I've had one now about every month. Not "regular" but at least I'm now having one. The last was 33 days apart. They are never 28 days like the norm. I totally believe it's from having lost weight. You could totally start having them on your own before long. Now I'm older things want to start working right, it's crazy.

Wow!!! Someone "needs" to be held accountable for these actions. Unbelieveable. Sounds like whoever just posted all that and tried to cover it up MUST BE WORRIED. To really search the internet and say things like this in violation. (shaking head). - News spreads fast on the internet.

If You Lose To Much Weight
Lisa75 replied to Ready for the change's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
approved by the insurance? or the Dr.? I wouldn't think so. I do believe it would have to do with your initial weight at your first weight in. I assume they go by that. They did with me. -
I too love carbs, I think it's mind over matter. My body craves them. I am trying to figure out ways to get away from those bad habbits. I'm sorry that I dont have any advice for you. I need advice myself sometimes. I know you can do it. Would it help if maybe you tell yourself okay once in a while, I can have a lil hersey's kiss? I mean this is life. I'm not gonna go my entire life without having a bite of something, but I do know that it's not the best thing to do daily if i want to see a WL. Is it bothering you that your shouldn't have it and then it makes you want it more? that's me anyways. good luck.

Afternoon I always weigh more. I hate that they are doing this to you. telling you one thing and doing another. and this person shouldn't be RUDE to you, your paying them. Not the other way around. Why is it so important to loose 6lbs by then anyways. TOM and everything can reflect on how the scales read. I imagine you are agrrivated. But just remember this is YOUR DREAM and you CAN and WILL do this. Just don't let them get to you. You can do this! Give it your all and you'll be banded and that will be behind you in no time. Keep pushing forward and don't let them get to you! You don't need that stress! Hang in there kiddo

Looking At The Lap Band Is This A Good Weight Loss?
Lisa75 replied to Krista Smith's topic in Insurance & Financing
Yes it works. You have to look at it as a tool. Protein first, exercise etc. It's not a miracle fix all. If you go into it with a positive attitude and follow what the Dr. tells you to do, drink, exercise and eat right then of coarse. It cuts your calorie intake tremendously. Will a cookie pass thru? YeS! So it's about making good choices and using it as the tool that it is. If you do follow what you need to do, it will most def work. Good luck with your decision! -
Sometimes The News Media Is To Much!!!!

Am I Going To Lose Friends Over My Lapband?
Lisa75 replied to NJ2NC's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I lost a friend the very next day after my surgery but ya know what i found out, she wasn't my friend in the first place. I think it takes time for people to adjust to our changes as much as it does us. Don't sweat it. You're gonna do wonderful and more than likely you'll have a LOT of support. Not much longer now. You'll be so happy! -

2 Months Post Op No Weight Loss Why!!
Lisa75 replied to Karen14's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
wish that i could help with your question - I am struggling too but in reality I have made some bad choices. Not a lot but obviously enough to put my WL on a hold. i know it is hard, talk to your dr. - journal your intake and take with you, this will help with knowing how he can help. - are you loosing inches? i know some say you loose inches when the scale doesn't move. I would think if you measure everything and keep track of our intake with a journal and liquid intake calories/proteins this will help a lot. also journal what kind of exercise you get in. i also have joint pain, bad knees, etc. - maybe if you can walk some it will help starting off. good luck -
thanks so much for your response. I'm getting so depressed and I can't do this. I appreciate your tips. gonna try HARDER!
