Good morning all. I have tried searching post here about the Drs. in Memphis. I'm considering Dr. Weaver to perform my lapband. Has anyone used her? Heard of her? Good or bad? Please:help: ! This is very important to me. I need to know if I should try Dr. Woodman or Madan first. Thanks!

bigbaby--yes, that is correct. I haven't had one. The weight was coming off nicely, so I didn't see the point of getting a fill. Well, when the weight slowed down, time for a fill, my doctor left the city. So I'm transferring to another doctor, which took 6 months just to get an appointment. It's today and I'm very excited!

Shoot yes! I haven't had a fill. My first fill is March 4th! I'm really excited. Still can't believe almost 2 years and FIRST fill! lol!
-
Thank you very much! I have an appointment March 4th for a fill.

Fill Dr in Memphis or North MS-lapband in Mexico

Someone on another thread is really hyping Dr. Woodman's patient client relationship to be very impressive. I have been placed on a waiting list for Dr. Weaver's office since July and had a scheduled appointment for October 22nd, only to get a call last week telling me to call back in January to reschedule, her new office wasn't ready for new patients. BTW I am a former patient of Dr. Tichansky; UT Medical Group, which closed in August of this year. I'm very disappointed. Just trying to get a fill. -

OMG! Thank you so much! I have had my bad for over a year with no fills, tried to get into UT to find out in July they were closing! I contact Dr. Weaver had an appointment for October 22nd. They called me only to say" we are moving, call us in January to reschedule! WTH? -
Well, I think it went very well, however, the DR. Said I may be disqualified because I take cymbalta. We'll see what the surgeon says. My BP was 145/94:faint: The dr. freaked out because it has never been that high before. He asked if I had eaten alot of high sodium foods and I told him that could be the problem. He stated that if I didn't get approved for the band he will have to prescribe RX. Don't want that. I told him I would let him know as soon as I knew something. There happen to have been to residencies in the room with me and the dr. explained to them that studies have become available this year that it is impossible for anyone weighing more than 100lbs over their ideal weight to keep the weight off without some form of bariatric procedure. That's the first I've heard of that. It stated that if it works for me, he may have to get a lap-band himself:phanvan . He didn't appear against it, however, I'm sure he would prefer I continue coming to see him with migraines, high blood pressure, fatigue, and borderline diabetes.

Hello Mellie and welcome. I understand what you mean by finding the time. I have been off for the last two weeks. I'm implementing a new program on Monday which just so happens to be the first day of the month. My problem it's time to weight lift and I don't quite knowhow to do that. I have weights at home since I don't have time to attend a gym. I also have that large ball to workout with as well. But Mellie how I got where I am is pushing through. If I had to get up earlier I do. I had a family forum and explained to everyone about mine and their lifestyle change and how it would affect the entore family. So feel that it is not childrens business but I strongly disagree. Some day they will have families of their own and can see now the sacrifice they had to make in order to help mother get to a healthy weight so that they will prevent it from happening to them, before it starts. Didn't mean to run with this thread, however, I do feel that it is important in this journey to include our spouse and children to be successful.

Thank you! Stephani, I lost 23lbs. before surgery. I've onlylost 44 lbs since surgery. I haven't had a fill yet. My doctor said that's normal, I just can't eat alot. I do step aerobics, jog 5 miles and learning to weight train next week. I don't eat 2-3hours prior to bed time and I drink my bidy weight in water. I do take Lipo6 as a thermogenic and EAS Phosphagen with creatine to build muscle.

hello all! I was banded June 25, 2007. I have lost a total of 67 lbs. I can't wear half the clothing in my closet. But how do I release the fear of getting rid of them? I'm going to try this weekend to take them away, clean out my closet. I have this phobia of doing that. As if I expect to be able to wear them again. Anyone else experiencing this? Any suggestions?
