  1. I am home! Got home yesterday, a bit sore but okay. I have been walking around the house and sipping my water with protein shot. I think I will do okay.

  2. I love your letter. I think I will be feeling the same way in about 6 hours once I am through with surgery. Yay! Surgery today at 10:45am Mountain time. Oh Yeah!! Sheila
  3. Yay, we are all finally here!!! I feel very much the same as Boots, I am not nervous but at peace. I know the decision made is the right one for me. I have been preparing for this day for 4+ years, so I thank God for giving me this opportunity to take charge of my life, my health, and give me back the control I lost to food. Good luck everyone! I will praying for us all to have a smooth and painless recovery. Sheila

    July Master List

My turn has finally arrived. I am up way to early due to my gallbladder giving me one last shot before it is removed. I am just as excited about that as I am meeting my new sleeve. Just as a side note, I have decided to name my sleeve, Ana Ana Sleeviston! I don't know why, I just like knowing I can talk to Ana and tell her to be nice to me and to help me attain my goal. Soon I will be joining all those who came before me on the other side, and we will all be sleeve sisters together. Good luck to everyone else who is being sleeved today along side me. I will be thinking of you and praying your recovery is a smooth one. Sheila
  5. Today is the day!!! Just a couple of hours and I will be heading out to the hospital! Ready to be on the other side. See you soon on the bench.

  6. Only 2 weeks to go and we will be sleeved. Yay Us!!! We are well on our way to being the best US we can be, that is so cool. So what are some of the feelings you are experiencing as the day draws closer? For me I am anxious, excited, nervous for the after surgery part. My hubby told me this morning that he is starting to imagine what I will look like thin as he has never seen me thinner than I am right now. That is pretty sad. I told him I was doing the same thing. So come and lets talk about what we are doing to prepare, how we are feelings as the day gets closer, we have to support each other during this time to help us all get through. Sheila

    Hey July 27th Sleevers!!!

Welcome Ruby. Not long now. We have 5 days left. Yay!!! Good luck on your journey and recovery. Keep us posted as to how your recovery is going. Sheila
  8. I normally do not tell people what size clothes I wore prior to my journey beginning due to being embarrassed. I should never have let myself get to that size - I guess it is what it is. I know everyone here has gone through the same things so I feel comfortable telling all you great people. I started out in a size 28 pants, 4X tops . I bought a pair of capri's to act as inspiration for me for after surgery. Size 20. I can tell you that today I am wearing those capri's to work. They are a little tight around my panni but other than that, they fit and I even have room around the waist. These are NON-STRETCHY capri's too. I am pretty darn proud of myself. Has any one else had a Pre-surgery NSV? Sheila

    Pre-surgery NSV

Thank you Autumn. I am quite proud of myself. Congratulations on your acceptance into your Vet Program. hey you don't have to lose much to have a NSV!!! You will be amazed. Couple of things you should do before your surgery, 1) take BEFORE photos so you can compare 2) take your measurements - so that when you hit the 3 week stall, you can check your measurements and see there are things going on and you don't get as frustrated. Sheila
  14. Good Luck Silverlinning. I know you will do great. Keep us updated with your progress and successes. Sheila

    12 things...

Thanks Papa Jack! I have worked hard to make my journey as successful as I could. Amazing what will happen if you start to limit your food intake, the pounds just start to melt off. Good luck with your surgery. I know we will be great success stories. My list, I have thought about those things for a while, and I always put my husband up towards to the top. He is as important in this equation of the weight loss journey as anything I am doing. The two of us are in this thing together, which breeds intimacy! Good luck on the 26th. Will be thinking of you. Sheila
  16. I see people on various forums talk about their Farewell Meals, what was/or will be your meal? We are going to have a BBQ on the 16th, 11 days before my surgery date! This is for those people who have supported my decision and will continue to do so! It will be one last celebration I can fully enjoy with all my loved ones! Sheila

    Hey July 27th Sleevers!!!

Hi AutumnBlue, You can join us that is fine with me. Where in Texas are you from? I live in Calgary Canada, but I am from Lawton, OK originally. Lawton is like 45 minutes north of Wichta Falls Texas. I remember all those cute summer dresses, we don't have to worry about wearing those here in Calgary. The summers rarely reach 90 degrees. I am feeling mainly anxious for the day to get here. I will deal with all the post op pain and recovery, but I am ready to get on with the living part of after surgery. I have felt like my life has been on hold for so long because of lack of energy, I am ready to live. I want to be able to out last my husband when we go for hikes, walks, bike rides. My husband is not a small man by any means, but he seems to be able to keep going with energy. Good luck with your journey. Sheila

All equipment is bought: Magic Bullet, 3 cup food processor, digital food scale! I am so excited and not nervous about the surgery at all! I have thoughts about life post surgery but nothing serious! Yay us! We are all getting our lives together; healthier, thinner, sexier! We are all awesome!!! Sheila
