  1. Need a little support here. Its been 6 months since I had the surgery and have not felt restriction as of yet. Dont get me wrong after the surgery I dropped a quick 30# from the liquid diet but now I have been working my but off just to maintain what I weigh. I eat healthy but I am always hungry. I have had monthly filles and have about 6cc in a 15cc band. Has anyone else gone through this and has it taken this long ? I go to the Dr again Thursday and I am hoping to finally get some restriction so I'm not hungry all the time. Just looking for some encouraging words from someone that may of gone through this.
  2. Thanks for the encouragement but I am at 5.75 cc in a 15 cc band I am hungry all the time. I ask my Dr for an aggressive fill and he states that Its too much to do and he wont do it. He tells me to keep following my meal plan but it is tough.
  3. Hello... I had my band placed in early August at 300#. Since the surgery date mostly post op diet I have gone down to 264. Had my first fill two weeks ago. 3cc in a 15cc band. Absolutely no change in fact I am more hungry now then before. I have discussed this with my Dr and all he seems to say is relax that it will happen. Today I found myself so hungry and disgusted that I may be a failure because I stepped on the scale which I don't do often and gained a few pounds up to 272. I read everyone stating it takes a few fills but you all know it is better to hear it for yourself on your own post as well as some encouraging words to get you through the day. I run and lift weights everyday which is great compared to the way I was before surgery. I am just looking for a little boost from someone that has gone through this with the 15cc band. My next fill is the 3rd week in November.
  4. Greetings Everyone: Was banded on Aug 15. Lost a total of 30 in two weeks. After two weeks was turned back on all types of food from Mr Physican. Since then I have had no restriction and I am pretty much hungry most of the time. Was worried that this did not work and it is not a tool. Been convionved by everyone that it is the healing time. I havent gained any of the weight back that I lost maybe a pound or two but nothing earth shatttering. I am scheduled for my first fill The second week in October. My Dr states that my band has no Fluid in it during the healing time. I guess what I am looking for is a nod that this is normal. I know a small percentage does have restriction and I thought I did after my first week but it was jsut the swelling. Im sure I could wea tthe same amounts prior banding as I could today, I just dont. Will this improve after the first fill ? Im afraid my pouch is going to stretch but I guess with no restriction I dont have a pounch yet. Just looking for some support. Its been a bad weekl. Thank You
  5. Greetings All: Got my Surgery date for 8/16. Starting to get pretty nervous. I have read the threads over and over again and I guess it is normal having surgery to feel this way. Im a little concerned over the aftercare once banded. Can someone tell me how bad the pain was after surgery ? They are going to keep me in the hospital overnight and I will be released the next day. Im committed to making this work but a little worried about how I will feel afterwards. Any stories that people want to shar would be great on how they felt after coming out of surgery.
