  1. Hello ladies! I have been a cosmetologist since 2008 and being a wls patient since then as well this is a question that I am asked a lot!. Hair loss like this is a condition called alopecia areotta (I know I butchered that ha ha). I do not think nioxin Shampoo and conditioner will help with this as all actually. I have seen. It slow it down but not help with the regrowth although some stylist reccomenc I would not. I myself endorse few products because I have been in your shoes and I understand what you feeling and how fast it's happening. For shampoo and conditioner I would only recommend one product to help you get your hair back. It's actually a treatment system called bosely (made by the restoration for men) I reccomenc this to anyone experiencing hair loss or anyone with fine thin hair. I can truly say that I have seen this product work. It's a three step system, shampoo, condition and treatment my boss's only uses the shampoo and her hair looks great she was naturally thinning and it looks so much better today then It did a year ago. Check out therelroduct look for reveiws. I would recommend as well protien protien protien and Biotin lots of it. One way to tell if you have a problem with your Vitamins and protien intake is going to be through your finger nails. You fingernails will be different then normal and they will slow growing as well our fingernails grow at the same rate as our hair so that may be something to look into as well.

  2. Well I was a lifeguard for five years and I taught a deep Water aerobics class. I loved it and I think swimming is a great way to lost weight seriously it works every muscle of your body if you can get on a site for Water aerobics you should check it out it is a great way to lose!

  3. When my band failed I went through the same thing I basked about everyday things I was so sad and until I made the choice for the sleeve it did not get better I think it might help first of all to know that number one your normal number two you are allowed to be sad about your weightnduring this time. I think you going in the right direction knowkege is power so learn what you can about the sleeve and understand the band failed you nit the other way around the sleeve is truly one ofnthe best things I have ever done.

  4. Hello I am 22 years old I had the band done in 08 and like you it slipped and was horrible I was at goal then gained fifty lbs! It was horrible that made me rethink the permanent aspect of the sugary. I loved what the band did for me however it slipped and the chances of that happening again wasnso devastating to me. The sleeve long term was the healthy and rifght choice for me my journey to this point was scary and very sad because I wanted the band to be permanent in my life but the stats show now that it justnis notnso then comes the question of forever. When I gained my weight back even though I knew what to eat how much and exercise I truly saw the reason for my choice of sugary this was something that I need in place forever I can not do it alone. That is a really hard reality we are not like skinny people we can't just lose the weight or why would we be doing this in the first place. My sleeve has been amazing and a lot healthier then my band was I am so blessed to have had thisnchance to try again.

  5. yeah you know either way it personal and we are all WLS pateint here for eachother dont let someone bring you down because of your choice because this is really the chance of a lifetime you get to do somthing about your personal weight problem and its just wonderful to take that step period regardless of what you choose congrats!

  6. I was banded and lost all my weight but had my band removed and gained 50lbs..... so now i have a sleeve and i am at the end of my second week and have not lost any about 5lbs and its kinda bouncy. i dont know what to do exercise is hard because i am having a rough go with protien so i am tired a lot.

  7. um i am a third party and i need to say that you shouldnt be aguing. calm down take a breath its all personal and a matter of openion my dr. reffers to my tummy as a pouch and he says that i have a stoma so i donno. i think that its ok to try it if you want to but its not bad to know the dangers as well. i had the lap band and was really succesfull and never touched carbonated drinks and i did great. but i still had a slip... i dont want carbonation ever again because i know its bad i have seen people gain weight because of it. however if your one that drinks it and your happy cool but dont get mad because someone wanted to show the facts that it COULD be bad for you. we are all on here to share our knowlege and experience i think your bolth right in your own journey.
