    Compliance with Rules

I always followed that rule, with the band and with the sleeve. Don't want any problems. Always sip some Water before meals and then between meals. Is really a non issue after all this time. Lynne Wisconsin
  2. When I was first sleeved, really cold drinks and Popsicles were the only things that soothed me and would go down and stay down. Which was weird because when I was banded in 2002 only warm things would work. Converted to sleeve in 2011. Lynne Wisconsin

    Day 15 post op

OMG I thought I was the only one. Converted from lap band to sleeve on 5/27/2011 and I am freaking out if I try anything thicker than really thin Protein shakes. I took a drink of a shake today that had a lump of undisolved powder. Well, let me tell ya. I started to slime up had to go to bathroom and let it all come up. Very very touchy tummy. Lots of scar tissue from the lap band removal, must be very swollen and tender. Sometimes feels like sips are stuck in my throat and chest and not going down. I want to be thin, but not scarey sick looking from starving..... Also my BMI was not all that high, so rapid weight loss is going to be more noticeable. I do feel a little better after reading some of these posts. Taking deep breath and small sips. Back to thinner liquids. Thanks all, Lynne, Wisconsin Surgeon Dr. Aceves
