I have struggled with my weight my whole life. I've done every diet known to man and even lost a lot of weight after my divorce but thats what happens when you live on stress and not much else =-)  Of course i put it all back on and then a year and a half ago my life changed forever.  In Oct of 09 I lost my 11 year old daughter and 12 year old neice in a horrific car accident. I can't put into words what my life has been like since then but I can say I've added plently of extra weight on top of what i was already carrying.  About 8 months ago i really looked inside my self and did a lot of talking with my daughter and god and I knew that it was time to take that step.  I have a 15 year old son that needed me here. He had already lost so much and I could continue to put myself in harms way with my weight.  I need to be healthy for him to show him that life has to go on and that we need to live every day to the fullest. Thus my Journey began with Lap Band and 6 days ago I was banded.  I figure if i can survive the loss of my daughter then i can do this so bring it on!
