I have lost 600 lbs........(100 lbs 6 times) Every time I gain it back it brings along a few friends. I had been planning on the lapband and after attending an infomercial seminar, the sleeve looked appealing. I started researching the sleeve the more and more it seemed like the answer.

I know people are going to Mexico for medical treatment and I thought no way. Then a distant cousin and his wife were at a family reunion and both were shedding lbs from a sleeve done in Mexico. I researched it and Tijuana here I come.

I have insurance, but the hoops to jump through with insurance and the wait of several months, then copays and deductibles. I will be out about the same amount of cash.

I can have the surgery done and the fat gone before the insurance even returns my call.

My PCP and my chiropractor are very supportive and didn't even raise an eyebrow about my decision.

So this is the start of my final weightloss journey.
