I've been heavy my whole life which is unfortunate because I've always been an active person. Growing up I was always the biggest kid not because I didn't exercise, but because I have a heavy frame and large muscles. Even though I was outside playing all the time and registered in sports I was still deemed "Overweight" by the school guidelines for the BMI. It was absolutely devastating to me because I didn't feel overweight and I didn't feel unhealthy, but I was deemed so by society. Over the years the weight crept on no matter how much I dieted or exercised.
Currently I weigh in at 215 pounds and I have trouble with acid reflux as well as a noticeable breathing problem. My feet and back hurt a good part of the day and going clothes shopping leaves me frustrated and wanting to cry. I have to shop at "Big Girl" stores now where the clothes tend to look like shapeless moomoo's or they're very expensive. Trying on shoes is a joke because I have wide feet that have become wider as I've gained weight. Its embarassing being this heavy and I'm tired of looking this way.
